I paced back and forth as my friends sat on the sofa in front of me, I had just told them I was going to propose to my boyfriend Junior and I wanted them to help me because I had no idea how I was going to ask him "so what ring did you get him," once Devon said this I just froze, "you don't have a ring yet," they all bust out laughing as Lexy said this, "listen I'm asking you to help me, and the only reason I haven't got a ring yet is because I've been stressed think about it," I explain rolling my eyes, "don't worry man we'll help you," Jake said standing up and giving me a pat on the shoulder, I then turn to to Lexy "are you sure you're okay, with me doing this?" I ask "What do you mean?" she gives me a confused look "I mean you and Junior used to go out-" Lexy then cut me of "Y/n It's fine me and Junior broke up when we were 14 I think any feelings that we had are gone, anyway me and Nadine are together now," she smiled, grabbed my keys from the coffee table and handed them to me "come on boys lets go get that ring," she said walking out of Jake and Devon's house.
We have been driving around to nearly every jewellers in the whole town, it's just none of the rings that we've seen, even the ones that the jewellers have brought up front none of them felt right "why is it so difficult to find the right f#cking ring," I say as my knuckles turn white from griping the steering wheel, "Y/n, calm down we've still got like what 3 more jewellers left we'll find something," Devon said from the passenger seat, "I know I'm just annoyed because I just want the perfect ring," I say keeping my eyes on the road "we know, and knowing how much Junior loves you he'll like anything you pick out," Jake says from the back seat, after what happened with Chucky and after Tiffany was arrested Junior and Jake fix their relationship but they still have their moments, I take a deep breath and nod even tho he couldn't see it. I pull into the car park Just outside of the jewellers and we all get out, as we walk in we are immediately greeted by ones of the shop assistant, "hello and welcome, is there anything I could help you with?" the lady asked "yes actual, this guy here is in need of an engagement ring," Lexy said putting her arm around my shoulders "of course now If you'll just follow me and I'll take you to our engagement rings," she smiles and motioned for us to follow her, as we were walking she turns to me and asks "so do know what your girlfriend likes," I was a little surprised that she immediately assumed it was a woman but I couldn't put it pasted her, probably 90 present of the people that come in here for wedding or engagement rings are straight, "actually it's for my boyfriend," her eyes widen "I'm am so sorry sir I hope I didn't offend you in anyway," she apologises "It's alright, you couldn't have know," I give her a small smile "right let me try that again, do you know what your boyfriend likes," she as we start walking again "I think he likes sliver but he doesn't really wear jewellery although I do want to give him something special," I explain "alright I think I have the perfect thing in mind, do you have his ring size?" she asks "um I think it's a 7," she nod "alright just take a seat and I'll be right back."
We sat and wait for about 10 minutes, when she came back with a tray of rings "now these aren't all silver but I thought it might be good to have more choice's," she lays the tray down and I look over all the ring, and each ring had a number next to it,
