Chapter 9

***Eli's POV***

Its Christmas Eve and Lucy and mom have finally finished moving in. Lucy wouldn't go a year without Christmas decorations and a tree so Austin had to set those up while I laughed at his clumsiness.

He hung the lights. Hung the stockings by the chimney with care. Put up the tree. Covered it with tinsel and decorations. Of course, set up a mistletoe that I refused to go under.

Mom and Nev had no problem kissing under it though. After so long, its hard to see my mom kiss another guy but he's famous and can cope with the pressure of a mom who's daughter is semi famous. He's Nev Schulman from Catfish. He goes around helping with online relationships.

I thought letting another guy in my moms life would be tough. But whenever I interviewed him we ended up going to frozen yogurt and laughing up a storm. He makes my mom happy an Lucy loves him. I accept him for now. Any shananigans? he's out.

Austin says he has a huge surprise. Technically, the label has s huge surprise but whatever. I sometime like surprises. Austins mom is coming down and staying at my Mons because she has an extra bedroom and the beds super comfy. I insisted she stay here instead of paying for a hotel And use the money to buy herself a new holiday outfit. Which, she happily agreed on.

I loves Mama Mahone. She was funny and caring. She always helped me with everything and even if Austin and I were to break up, I'd stay in touch with her. She also helps me with my comebacks as well. Like when i first met her, Austin said something rude to ne so she sent me a picture if him in Dora underwear as a baby and crying. Now I win every argument.

She said she can't wait till she sees my look at the surprise. My mom said that too. And Lucy. And Nev. And Paul. And Teal. And Roberto.

Im not mad everyone excelt me knows because it just makes it easier to find out.

Austin said he wanted to do a YouTube video now so whatever. Ill be in it though. He insisted. Its 1145 PM and he wants to make a video? I need sleep. I like sleep.

He was setting up the camera and I was brushing my hair. He kept telling me the time and we had to be on schedule. Whatever that meant. But I just sat down in my comfy chair and waited.

At 11:50, he finally sat down and was kind of jumpy. The heck?

He pressed record and started singing some weird song. He was laughing at himself and checkrd tthe time. 11:56

"Okay Eli," He shifted to look at me. "The papparazi posted a magazine saying I was cheating on you. And im not! But the label and I agreed on something that would turn away from that point and get it focused on something different in OUR relationship. We didn't know an easy way to tell you. or ask you. but.. I have to ask on Christmas and I can't wait another minute. I know were young. But I love you. And I can't picture my life with anyone other than you. I want you forever and a day. So, Elizabeth Rose Ramirez."

He was reaching in his pocket checking the time. 11:59.

Once the clock struck midnight, and he spoke those last words the breath was taken out of me.
