POV Wanda

Tired I fall down on the bed of the hotel room. Today was intense. Yesterday Sam and Steve tracked down Emerald. Today we made a plan about how to grab the guy.

'You okay?' I turn around. Maria just changed, I don't see her often in casual clothes. But it looks good on her. She wears a black blazer with a low cut top, also black.

I hold myself up with my elbows. 'Just tired.' I look at Maria.
'If I can do something for you, let me know.' She says kindly.
'That's... so sweet. Thank you.' I say.

She shortly smiles at me while she grabs a beer from the mini bar. Maria sits down on the chair near the large windows. It's weird sharing an hotel room with her. I'm so used to Natasha's presence.
Besides that,  it's weird to hang out with her in this context. But I don't hate it, Maria is a nice person. And she's always friendly to me.

'So you're joining for dinner?' She asks.
I nod. 'Yes, I just need to shower and change real quick. How late do we leave?' I ask while I stand up.
'Thought that Steve told me around 7. So we can head down around that time if you want.' She says while she looks at her highly advanced watch.
I grab my phone, seeing that it is half past 7 already.

'I think I'll make that.'

I wear a tight dark green dress. My black heels click on the floor as I enter the elevator with Maria beside me. I have to admit. She looks stunning. The way she curled her hair, the low cut top and her black tight pants. I always knew she was a beautiful woman, but somehow.. this fits her better than her agent suit.
She shortly grins at me when I look up again.

When the doors of the elevator open, my eyes widen by seeing Natasha.
Her tight, red dress matches perfectly with the color of her lipstick. The way her figure looks in it, makes me almost blush. A shock through my whole body when she turns around and looks me in the eye. She smiles. The playful smile, the one I love so much.

'Hi everyone.' Maria says.
Natasha looks at me, stares at my dress. I can see how she forces herself to look me back in the eye.

'We have everyone, think we can go now.' Steve says after we greeted everybody. 'Where's Clint?' I ask him.
'He wants to prepare for tomorrow, he didn't feel like doing this right now.' Steve answers.
I nod.

The restaurant we're visiting is inside the hotel. When we walk through the lobby, Natasha grabs my arm. 'Giving you time makes it hell of lot difficulter when you look like that.' She looks at my dress.
I laugh. 'Don't be so dramatic.'
'Have you seen yourself? This is dramatic.' She points at my breast who are lifted by the bra I wear underneath. 'Not that I don't like dramatic.' She winks at me and walks away again.

It feels good to just talk with her. All of our conversation recently were.. kind of dramatic. We're always arguing, and if we aren't we were emotional. Or most of the time.. I was emotional. Natasha was mainly avoiding her emotions.
I look at her. At how she holds the arm of Steve. She laughs while he makes a joke. I watch her perfect curls go up and down everytime her heels touch the expensive black carpet on the ground.

She's so beautiful.

A couple of hours later, I feel how the wine makes me feel dizzy. I promised myself to not drink too much, I thought nobody would. Given the fact that tomorrow is an important day, but Natasha sits half drunk before me. Sam's drinking his fifth beer and Maria talks like she had too much alcohol already.

I stand up. 'I'm leaving.' I say. For these people it's their hundredth mission, but for me everything is still new. And I don't want to fuck things up. I want to prove to them that I grew, that I'm one of them.
