"Good morning, boss!" Your punctual subordinates greet you once you step foot inside the office.
"Good morning din! Musta kayo?" You asked in return. It's a new week after that team outing.
Their faces are still colored pink or brown from the sun exposure, but the glee from this weekend still lingers. This is probably the only Monday you've seen them happy welcoming another laborious work week.
"Oks naman, madam. Medyo sore pa rin sa mga cheerleading stunts na ginawa sa dagat, pero all in all, okay lang." Marky answers.
You chuckle and are about to enter your own office room when Jill arrives. Your gaze immediately zero in on her, to which she smilingly returns with a wave. You waved back before pushing your door open and disappearing inside.
Since that late night heart-to-heart talk with the younger woman, your friendship revived. The two of you spent more time together, you even joined your colleagues' plans on making the most out of your last day. The sociable Y/N came out to play.
The sun is almost setting, and the team will be driving back to the city in 30 minutes. You're walking by the shore with Jill, talking about random stuff, salt air hitting your bodies. This has been a great weekend.
"Dali, tayo ka diyan banda." You coach Jill towards a spot with a great backdrop. You took out your phone to capture a photo of her.
"Wait, wait!" Jill interjects and brings out her phone as well.
You smilingly frown in confusion. "Teka, you'll take a picture of me taking a picture of you?" You asked her.
"Yeah!" Jill answers and adjusts the settings on her phone to make the colors pop.
You snort as you shake your head. "Dami talagang alam, Jingjing."
Jill playfully glares at you at the nickname, but the small smile playing on her lips is covered by her phone.
And so, the both of you snap each other's photo, then took selfies and more photos of the sky and the sea. After that, you discreetly captured more candid pictures of Jill: while she's focused on her film camera, or while she's staring ahead on the horizon, or when she picks up a pretty seashell. She finally caught you once she looks your way, and her being unguarded like that registered beautifully on your camera. But not even the best camera in the world could beat the real thing.
"Oh my god, bakit mo 'ko pini-picturan?" Jill exclaims, wide-eyed.
"Hindi ikaw. Harang ka lang sa view." You lied and attempt hiding your phone screen.
"Weh? Patingin nga." Jill then walks near you to snatch the device.
"Luh, luh, luh!" You said and tried evading her.
"Y/N, mukha ko nandyan. You don't get to gatekeep! Kapag ako pangit diyan." Jill whined and reaches for your phone. She kinda hates how your arm length is longer than hers so she can't reach you.
"Wala nga kasi! Ano ba 'yan. 'Wag makulit." You replied and held her by the head to stop her.
"Patingin kasi!"
"Bakit ka ba kabado? Maganda ka rito, kalma na!" You told her. "Oh sige na, kapag tumigil ka. Papakita ko sa'yo!"
And that made Jill stop. She fixes her hair in the meantime while scowling at you.
You giggled at the sight. "Send ko na lang GDrive link mamaya. Hanapin mo na lang d'on."
Jill scoffs in response. "Hay naku. Bahala ka sa buhay mo, Y/N," she replies and walks ahead.
