Picture of Delilah in her dress! The girl who is wearing the dress is also going to be playing the role as Delilah. I thought she suited her pretty well, but if you disagree, then you certainly don't have to imagine her as that. Just feel free to keep the Delilah you made in your own mind :)
CHAPTER 3
I woke up as my alarm clock went off loudly. I quickly turned the alarm off, and remembered about the party tonight. It was time to get ready. I wasn't really big on wearing makeup and stuff, so it shouldn't take me long to get that part done. I had bought a pair of black high-heels to wear tonight at the mall with Madelyn, and I was nervous about that. I had only worn high-heels a few times before. These were extremely comfortable though, and Madelyn said it was because of the wedge in the shoe. They didn't seem very hard to walk on, so hopefully I won't embarrassingly fall flat on my face tonight. I rolled my eyes at the thought of me trotting into the party, feeling good and proud, and then I slip and fall flat on my face, have a heart attack, then die of embarrassment. I sighed, pulled my groggy self out of my bed, and started to get ready. I was no pro on hair, so I decided to leave it natural. It was naturally pretty wavy, and it never looked too bad, so I didn't mind leaving it the way it was. My makeup was light. Mainly all I did was put foundation, mascara, and a tiny bit of blush to my cheeks to lighten up my face a bit. I never really wore lipgloss or lipstick, I just didn't like the feeling on my lips. After about an hour of getting ready, I looked in the mirror and smiled. I actually looked all right tonight. The dress was the main reason I felt so confident. I rarely ever wore dresses, not because I didn't like them, I loved dresses actually, but because I never really owned very many.
I nervously eyed my black heels, knowing it was time to put them on. I took a deep breath, and walked over to them cautiously. It probably looked like I was approaching my enemy or something. I slipped them on, and heard a call from Owen shortly after. I grabbed my small clutch, and stuffed my phone into it. I didn't want to bring a purse or clutch, but I needed my phone, and ID. Since I didn't have the comfort of shoving them into my pockets, I had to take a small clutch.
I slowly made my way downstairs, trying by best not to trip over anything. When I reached the bottom, Owen was turned facing the doors, his back facing me. He appeared to be on the phone, so I stayed silent. I stood behind Owen, trying not to interrupt him. It didn't take very long for Owen to hang up. He then quickly turned around, hitting me in the process. I almost fell to the ground, but Owen quickly grabbed my arms and steadied me. His mouth was open, and he looked as if he were about to yell. When Owen saw me standing there, his face was surprised as mine was. Owen looked as if he were about to fall over, then he grasped his forehead with his hand.
"God Delilah, you scared me. I was about to yell for you, I didn't know you'd already come down," He took a deep breath to calm himself.
I giggled and watched as Owen rolled his eyes. Then his face softened, he looked at me and smiled. "You look really good," Owen complimented.
I grinned ear-to-ear. "Thank you." I felt like a princess that evening, even if I didn't look like one.
Owen's smile widened when he saw me grinning. He held his arm out, and I took it as he lead me to the car and we drove off for the party.
After about twenty minutes of driving, the car pulled into a large parking lot and in front of a pretty big house. Probably about the size of the one I was now living in right now, maybe just a tad larger.
Owen turned to me and pulled his phone out. "We're here. I want to get your number just in case anything goes wrong."
"What could go wrong?" I questioned. I pulled out my phone anyways though.
