 Chapter 8

Delilah's POV

I stared at Madden in disbelief.  What?

I had stopped breathing, realizing I was choking on a piece of my pancake, I coughed hard.

Madden rubbed my back as he shyly watched me.

Once I regained my will to breath, I saw Madden's extreme look on his face.  He looked so scared.  I get it!  It's a joke!  HAHA!

I started laughing a non-humerus laugh, hoping Madden would join in.  That only caused him to look even more scared.  "Oh-oh I get it.  It's a joke.  Very funny,"  I slapped Madden playfully on the arm.  My laughter died down when I saw the concerned and serious face on Madden.  Oh God, I think my body just stopped working.  I was frozen, staring at Madden with the most shocked face I'm sure I had ever worn in my life.

We stared at each other in utter silence for at least five minutes straight.  "Y-y-you're not k-kidding?"  I said once my shaky voice had finally returned.

"I didn't tell you earlier because I-I thought you'd be mad or something, and you'd hate me.  And it's okay, I can understand if you do, I just had to get it off my back,"  Madden rambled on.  I couldn't hear anything.  This cannot be real.  I am so totally dreaming.  So not real.

"Look, Lilah,"  Madden pulled me out of the stars and placed his hand on mine.  "Delilah, I know this must be a lot to take in.  It's all true though, I promise.  The reason I'm telling you this… Well umm, one of the reasons, is because Owen is also a werewolf, and-"

I cut Madden off, "Owen's a werewolf too?"  I cried out.  Oh my god!  What the heck is happening!  This can't be happening!!!

"Yes,"  Madden tried to calm me.  I backed away from him, but I soon reached the headboard of the bed.

"N-no, no, no!"  I repeated over and over.  No this… is too much!  I could feel tears dripping down my cheeks.  I don't even know why I'm crying!

Madden looked like he was going to cry too.  What does it matter to him?  He's some kind of monster thing!  Why should he care?!

"Lilah, Lilah settle down,"  Madden tried again as he placed a hand on my shoulder, but this time I screamed.  Madden jumped off of the bed and stood across the room as if to give me space.  I'm pretty sure I was in shock…  I heard footsteps running to the room I was located in and I saw Madden's mother, and a man who was probably Madden's father, enter.  As soon as Madden's parents entered the room, Madden exited.  I was so scared.

"Sweetie,"  Angelina tried to come towards me but my huge wide eyes and frightened shaking figure must have caused her to think twice.  "O-okay, okay.  We'll pack you up your clothes, and you can go home, sound good?"  Angelina asked.  I didn't reply, I think I permanently lost my voice.

Angelina took it as an okay anyways, and started getting my things for me.  It didn't take long since I wasn't there long.  She smiled reassuringly, which seemed to calm me slightly.  Slightly, that is.

"Come on, I'll show you the way out.  My husband called for a driver to pick you up; the car's just outside."  Angelina showed me the way.  I stayed about five feet apart from her, making extremely slow progress towards the front door.  As soon as it was opened, I dashed out the door and into the car waiting for me.  I never want to see this place again.

Madden's POV

"Lilah, settle down,"  I tried to calm her down.  She didn't seem to be taking the news too well.  I told her too soon, damn it!
