Chapter 7
Delilah's POV
I stirred sleepily on the might I say, extremely cozy bed I was on. Where was I? I don't know, but I was comfortable, that's for sure. I didn't want to open my eyes as the bright light burst throughout the room I was in. I must be in someone else's room, because my window was not located on the right side of my bedroom.
I peaked with one eye squinted open to see where I was. I didn't recognize the place… It was a bedroom with deep blue walls. The furniture was pretty modern, with matching black pieces. A black nightstand, black dresser, black desk, black bed frame, and the same black hardwood floors. It had a few lamps scattered across the room, but over all, I could definitely tell it was a guy's room. Well, I hope at least.
I closed my eye again, wanting to stay in the cozy warm cushion of a bed. I sighed. My brain was already up and going - no way was I falling back asleep now.
I sat up, giving in to my conciseness, when suddenly, several memories flooded back into my mind. The memories raided through my head as I felt a shocking pain in my stomach where Owen had kicked me yesterday. Well I think it was yesterday?
Just then I heard someone clearing their voice from the other side of the room. My wide-greener-looking-in-the-sunlight eyes stared at the young man sitting in a big, black, leather seat against stood up against the wall. About ten feet from the bed I was in. It was Madden. I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw it was Madden - it was nice waking up to a smiling hot guy. Wait - no, I didn't think that. Oh gosh, I can't think those things! Stop it Delilah!
"Hey, are you feeling better?" Madden asked, pulling me out of my weird thoughts as he slowly stood from his chair and came towards the bed. I nodded my head and he sat in front me on his huge bed. Madden turned his head so he could face me, "You hungry? Thirsty? Can I get anything for you?" Madden's concerned eyes made me want to smile. He was being so sweet, I wonder if he'd even noticed.
"I'm good." I replied. I was still curious as to where I was, and why I was here. And what happened when I was out? I remember my black wolf attacking Owen, and then everything went black. I hope Owen didn't get killed or anything… I mean, I'm not very fond of Owen at the moment, but I don't want him to die… Yet.
"What happened?" I asked Madden. His form stiffened and his jaw slightly clenched. My eyes darted anywhere but Madden. I didn't mean to make him upset.
"After the err, incident, I found you and brought you to my house. We've been taking care of you the past two days." Madden explained, but I noticed how he skipped some of the parts in his explanation.
"Oh. I've been out for two days?" I tried to widen my eyes, but I noticed they were already as wide as could be.
Madden chuckled, "Yes. I called your grandparents too, and they know you're here. They're okay with you staying here until you regain your strength."
I grasped my forehead with my hand and turned to let my feet dangle off of the tall bed. I was about to jump down when Madden's voice stopped my actions.
"Delilah, I need to tell you something," Madden's voice was filled with nervousness. When I turned and looked at him, he looked like a totally new person. Madden's eyes were filled with such concern, nervousness, and seriousness. He tried to keep his face calm, but I could tell he was anything but calm.
I settled back into the warm cozy bed and nodded for Madden to explain. Gosh, must be serious. I've never actually seen Madden nervous, even if I had only known him a short period of time. But in the time I've come to know Madden, he's always been an extremely comfortable and a lot of times, stern guy.
