" Mirabel what are you doing?" Mia asked her niece." there is a new family coming to Encanto and I want to greet them." Mirabel told her.
" that's impossible. We shouldn't even have any people coming, the mountains sealed it off." Mia said.
" maybe there's a crack somewhere, I mean three months ago, the mountain did crack when we lost the magic." Mirabel said." point taken." She said.
" ugh fine but once you're done you get back here. We don't know anything about them or if we can trust them." Mia said and Mirabel nodded before running off. Mia went to the kitchen to see her mother there.
" mamá did you know we have a new people coming in town?" Mia asked and Alma looked at her daughter." what are you talking about? We haven't had a guest in over 50 years." Alma told her.
" well, according to Mirabel we do, today she's going to go greet them." Mia said and her eyes widened." then we need to be careful. We don't know if these people are good ones or bad ones but let's greet them anyway so they don't expect anything and we cannot tell them about our gifts until we can trust them." Alma said.
" well, that's gonna be hard when the whole town talks about us on a daily basis." Mia said." I will handle that for now go help mirabel, perhaps invite them to dinner." She said.
" when." Mia asked." how about in two days." Alma said, Mia nodded before Alma left. Mia was about to head out the house when she was stuck by her eldest.
" mamá is it okay if I get to meet these people to." She asked looking at her, Mia raise an eyebrow." and why is that you don't really do people, why would you care about these." Mia said.
" maybe because I'm tired of all the people here I want to meet someone new and since we're not telling them about our guest, maybe one of them will like me for who I am or not because I'm a madrigal." She said and Mia eyes softened.
" of course honey." She said, Isabela smiled before grabbing her mother by the arm and the two walked out.
As they were walking in town, everyone said hello to them as always, and praise them. They looked up to see Mirabel showing the family around.
" oh, and there is my Tia and my sister." Mirabel said running up to them. Isabela took the time to pull her to the side to talk to her about wanting to keep their gifts a secret while her mamá distract them.
" hello my name is Mia Madrigal welcome to our home Encanto. So tell me, how have you heard of this place." Mia asked." well actually a few years ago my husband visit this place and he thought maybe this could be our new home." The woman said." I am Sophia by the way." She said.
" oh, you visit." Mia asked the man who nodded nervously. Mia looked at the man, he looked very familiar to her, but she couldn't pinpoint where." and who are your kids?" Mia asked.
" oh, this is our son Mateo and our daughter, Emma." Sophia said holding her two year old daughter. Judging by their son's age, he looks like he was around in his 20s.
" well, like I said before welcome to Encanto if you need anything don't be afraid to ask our residence here." She said as her niece and daughter came along.
" as you met my niece Mirabel.This is my daughter Isabela." Mia said and Mateo's face went red looking at the beauty in front of him.
" hello welcome to Encanto." Isabela said, to Mateo her voice sounded like an angel coming from heaven." my mother happens to be the head of our beautiful village and she would like to invite you guys to dinner in the next two days." Mia said and they smiled.
" oh gosh, that would be lovely. Thank you." Sophia said and Mia smiled." later on you will be meeting one of my nieces. Her name is Luisa she'll be helping you with the houses of your choosing." Mia said.
" Mirabel." She said and Mirabel looked at her." why don't you finish this up and hurry back before you miss dinner." Mia said before walking away." it was nice meeting you guys." Isabela said.
" it was nice meeting you too." Mateo said blushing, Isabela looked at him werid before looking at her sister, who looked at her and shrugged. Isabela just rolled her eyes and followed her mother.
" does she not like me?" Mateo asked, a little disappointed." It's not that, she's just not really people's person. You see you guys are new, we haven't had any new people moving here since 50 years ago." Mirabel said.
" what..why...what happened?" The husband asked." I'm not allowed to tell you, you're gonna have to ask my Abuela. But let me show you to your house." Mirabel said before continuing, showing them around.
Hours later after Mirabel and Luisa got the family situated in the town, it was time for dinner. The family all set at the table.
" so how are our new guest?" Alma asked." wait, what new guest?" Pepa asked clearly not in on what was happening." a few hours ago a family from outside of Encanto found their way here and decided to move." Dolores told her.
" uh yeah I showed them around town. Luisa help them move into a house." Mirabel said." how many are there?" Felix asked wanting to know more about this family." well, there's the mother and father, they have two kids name, Mateo and Emma." Mia said.
" and what are the ages?" Pepa asked." well their daughter look to be around two and their son looks to be around in his 20s." Mia said." Oooo maybe Isabela can one day find him as a love interest." Camilo said smirking and Isabela shove a flower in his mouth.
" the point is, we don't know anything about them. So I want you guys to don't use your powers around them. I've already informed everyone in town to not speak of it." Alma said.
" but how will we do our chores?" Julieta asked." you will still use your powers, just not around them, okay." She said and everyone nodded." now salute." She said standing up everyone salute before digging in.
