my love

Sana POV

I sighed; it was all going well until I went to that damn birthday party. "Do you really not like him anymore?" I heard a whisper. He heard us.

I looked down at my lap, only to find him with tears in his eyes. "I don't, I really don't. If I did, I wouldn't be here right now beside you, would I?" I whispered as I tangled my fingers with his hair.

"He said he loves you," a tear made its way out of his eyes. "Even if he does, I only love you. I love you, Jungkook-ah," I said as I wiped his tears. "You do?"

"I do, I really, really do," I nodded rapidly. "Alright, let's sleep, I'm sure you're tired," he shifted his head from my lap to a pillow and tapped beside him. I smiled at him and laid down, falling asleep soon.

Jungkook POV

"I was thinking we could go on our first official date as a couple," I said as I poured the coffee I had just made in a mug for the two of us. "I'd like that, I don't really have any plans for New Year's Eve anyways."

"So tonight?" I asked and she nodded, "tonight. Where will we go though?" I thought about it for a moment, "Au Revior, Mon Amour?" I noticed her eyes light up as I said that. "Oh my god, the number of memories we have with that place. How long has it been since we last went there?"

"I guess we last went on Miyeon's birthday. Poor girl was traumatized when we smashed the cake in her face," I said, not being able to control my laughter as I remembered the times when we weren't idols, just ordinary people celebrating a birthday.

"I felt bad for Juyeon honestly, it wasn't even his birthday and he had so much cake on his face. But isn't it crazy how long it's been? January 31, 2013, if I'm right." I nodded, "yep, it's been almost 10 years since we've been there. Na-jung noona probably doesn't even remember us anymore."

"She was the best owner, seriously. All that cake and coffee, nobody else could give that much to an idiotic group of teenagers for free," she said. "I'm looking forward to tonight," I said smiling, she agreed, and we continued talking about the old times.

Sana POV

I just got back to the dorm to get ready for tonight. "Where did you sleep yesterday, Sana?" Jeongyeon unnie asked as soon as I entered. "Jungkook's," I answered. "Wasn't he drunk as well?" Mina asked. I frowned, "I feel like I'm being questioned right now?"

"You're not, I just hope that nothing happened last night," Nayeon unnie said as I tried to hide my flustered face. "Nothing like that happened but you wanna know what did happen?"

"What?" She asked curiously as I smirked and pulled out my phone to show her a picture of herself from the previous night, drunk.

"Y'know I had to stop you from drinking like 10 times when you were about to pass out," I said putting my phone back in my pocket and making my way to my room. "Yeah well thank you babe!" I heard her yell from the outside and chuckled before yelling back, "of course my jagiya!"

Me and Jungkook texted each other and finally decided that he was going to pick me up at 8 and after dinner, we'll probably stick around for new year, watch fireworks from the car. Fast forward to 7:50, I'm ready (and excited) for our date.

I got a message from Jungkook saying that he's arrived and left my room. "Where are you going unnie?" Tzuyu asked as I slid on my boots. "A date," I replied casually, "I'll see you all next year!"

Momo chuckled, "yeah we'll make sure not be seen cuz that'll be not-so-great, y'know?" I nodded and Nayeon unnie joined in, "highlight of January 1st 2023 - sana and Jungkook spotted on a date"

"I never mentioned Jungkook but yeah I guess it won't be really pretty dealing with immature fan's shit" I smiled and bid my goodbyes to all the members.

I spotted jeon standing outside his car, hands in his pocket and his bangs almost covering his eyes, "happy new years eve!" I greeted him with a hug and a kiss.

"Happy new years eve, my love," butterflies filled my stomach at the nickname. "You sure do know how to make someone fall again and again, huh?" I said with a blush spread across my face. "You liked that nickname, my love? Should I continue calling you that, my love? Hmm?" He said with a small, innocent smile on his face.

I scoffed and rolled my eyes jokingly as we started to drive away and then I remembered something. "Y'know, Jae and Juyeon are back," he glanced at me with wide eyes, "and they told you first? The nerve."

I chuckled, "what a coincidence though, we were just talking about them this morning." He nodded, "yeah, we should plan like a reunion soon"

"Obviously," I said, smiling as I thought of the 5 of us finally reuniting. "We're here," he said and we got out of the car, holding hands as we walked into the restaurant. 'Au revior, mon amour' read the neon sign at the entrance.

It was exactly the same- the lights, tables, chairs. The vibe felt to nostalgic. I recognised one of the servers and of course - there was our married couple najung unnie and hoseok oppa bickering. A warm smile spread across my face, it's exactly how it used to be.
