Maeve POV:
I was running towards where Al was, shocked that he was rescuing Rose. But I guess I shouldn't have been, he seemed to fancy her so it made sense that he'd go check up on her. And she's lucky that he did when he did, she was about to be eaten by a large sick parrot. I busted in the room and saw Al holding Rose. If he could be blushing he would. And I made sure to let him know that I would be making fun of this later.
"Come on Al. I know the perfect spot to place the speaker. Bring Rose."
And I turned on my heel sprinting back towards the door I had first came through from the bell tower.
I heard Rose ask, "How does she know my name....?" I smirked. Hopefully she wouldn't match me with the black demon she saw yesterday. If I think she did I would have to just act indifferent, but it would be annoying to have to do that. Particularly since Al would feel my lie.
Once at the tower, Al made the radio and explained a bit about how he and Ed became the way they are now. I grabbed the cord I had placed up here and plugged it into the newly made radio. Rose was about to say something, but I cut her off.
"Shh, it's starting...." And I heard Ed speaking over the loud speaker.
"Cut the crap and talk to me here. All I want are some straight answers about the Stone. Tell me what I need to know and I'll be on my way. Or we could get the military involved...." Ed's voice faded off, and I could hear a loud frustrated sigh coming from Cornello. And then Cornello was made a fool with three words.
"Ask your questions."
I grinned, and Al was glad for our success but was worried about Rose. I noticed that people all around us were paused in what ever activities they were doing and listening to the radio.
Ed: "You could do anything with the Philosophers Stone, right? So why waste all that power performing phony 'miracles'?"
Cornello: "Because with each miracle I can attract new believers to the order. Believers who would lay down their lives for my sake! I'm slowly building an army; a legion of holy warriors and unafraid to die. In a few more years I'll be ready to unleash this mindless horde upon the world! And I'll use the Philosophers Stone to tear this country apart. Who knows, I might even carve out a slice for you!" He then started laughing.
I groaned.... that was just way too easy.... I was hoping for some kind of challenge. Damn, this sucks. It almost feels like it was a waste of time. This guy is just too much of an idiot to be of any fun.... I decided then that I will make sure Gluttony gets him. Gluttony has always had a soft spot for idiot flesh. I chuckled darkly at that thought. Al looked over at me, and I could feel him wondering how I could feel humored and disappointed at the same time. I could imagine Ed right now. He might be feeling the same way as I am to a point.
I heard him join in on Cornello's laughter. I could tell he was about to unveil Cornello's trap. I rubbed my hands in anticipation.
"Wait! What are you laughing about?" Cornello asked.
"I knew it. You really are a novice aren't you?" I could practically hear Edward grinning over the air waves. There was silence covering the whole town, Cornello seemed too shocked by what ever Ed was showing him to make a sound. Then...
"Y-You don't mean that's been on this whole time!" He yelled. It was so loud the radios squealed in protest at the large amount of sound. "There were never any miracles, Rose. He lied to you. He lied to everyone." Al murmured to Rose.
"Why you!!! How long has that been on?" Cornello yelled.
"From the start. Your believers heard everything you said." OK Ed, your sounding a bit too smug now...
