22: 5th Laboratory Secrets- Part 2

"Huh? Who're you guys?" I heard Ed ask through a hole I had just made with Lusts body. I took one step towards the hole when I heard another voice respond.

"She's one of my employers." It was a male voice. I growled lowly and stalked through the hole, and Envy followed me in. Ed saw me and his jaw dropped as he took in my outfit, but he frowned when he saw the bite marks.

"Maeve... what...?" I turned away from him to look at Lust.

"Leave. Now." I ordered. I so didn't want Ed to find out about my affiliation with this now. Later, I promised myself, I would explain everything. Lust looked at me, then past me to Envy. He grabbed me from behind again, and I used two tails to stab him and throw him up in the air. He screamed from the pain, and he screamed when he fell back down with a loud splat.

I looked at Ed and saw he was holding a metal helmet. A bound soul? I looked at the main body and saw it was cut in half.

"Two bound souls in one armor? That's new." I mused out loud. The helmet spoke up then.

"You are stronger than Envy and Lust? So you are their cre-" I glared and quickly dashed towards him, and stabbed both of them through their blood seals and flung them across the room. Ed looked at me in horror and backed away when I tried to reach out to him. I halted, with my hand in the air. 

"Ed? I'll explain it later, OK?" I asked shakily. He shook his head 'no'.

"You- You just killed him." I stared at him and a tear fell hotly down my face. Suddenly Envy appeared behind him along with Lust. I grabbed Ed and turned, so that my body blocked his. I felt Lust's fingers stab through me, and I pushed Ed down to make sure he didn't get stabbed as well. I was too slow though, he got deep gouges on his stomach, but it was something he could easily survive. It wasn't too deep.

I watched as he looked at the blood covering his hands in horror. Gritting my teeth I snapped Lust's fingers off, making her scream in pain. Ed looked up at her screaming and I staggered to face the two Sins.

"You fools!" I growled.

"Do you even know what he is? What both him and his brother is?" Lust looked at me scared and ran. Envy glared at Ed, and quickly darted around me.

"He's a sacrifice, right? That's what your going on about right? Fine, keep him. I'll let him live. But you better be ready to say goodbye to them when the Promised Day comes." he kicked Ed in the stomach and I ripped off Envy's arm for it. Envy screeched at the pain, which turned into a dark giggle.

"You'd better get your precious little boy-toy out of here, this place is going to explode any moment now."  Then he ran off.

I turned and lifted Ed onto my back, blood dripping down my stomach in large rivulets. Wounds caused by the Sins were always incredibly painful and took a lot longer to heal than any others. It hurt like hell to walk, much less carry Ed. I put the pain out of my mind and ran out of the building, taking the shortest way through the walls, using my powers to break them down. I leaped over small explosions and dodged falling debris. It was coming down around me, fires blew up around us. I looked at the wall of fires, then back at Ed's unconscious face. Seeing him hardened my resolve, giving me strength to face the next pain. I heard Alphonse screaming for us, we were close to getting out. I also heard other voices calling out worriedly. I looked up and saw a bit of dark sky in between the flickering flames, so I leaped as high as I could and landed about 10 yards from Alphonse and a large group of officers. I could feel Wrath among them.

I carefully set Ed down, and my knees were shaking violently. I couldn't hold my own weight up any longer so I collapsed onto my knees. Alphonse, Ross and Brosh knelt down next to me.
