Nick's POV
Maria? What did she do?, Who is Maria...my dad's whore.
"What did maria do?" My dad asked. By now we were all gathered in the sitting to hear the shocking revelation.
"She was always clinging to you, asking you out on dinner dates, like the fool you re you never decline instead you followed her like a lost puppy. She threatened to make my life miserable if I didn't leave you for her" mom said
" Why didn't you tell me?" My dad asked
"why would I do that!" My mom spat out
"when I was pregnant with my babies, she sends different notes to me telling me to abort the babies or else she will do it herself which she never succeeded"
" The day I went into labour I never knew she will be there. When I pushed out my first son I was overjoyed because of his cries, then my second one which is Steven didn't because his heart was too weak, immediately I held them both in my arms my eyes were filled with tears of joy, I know I was going to pass out soon then I named nick because he came out first, I didn't get to name Steven before I blacked out." Mom narrated
" I rushed in immediately I heard you were out of labour. They handed me only nick claiming they want to do a heart surgery for the other child but they came back later before you woke up and told me he didn't make it" my dad explained
"when I went to see the dead baby, I found out that he's not mine. I tried explaining to Robert that my baby was switched but he didn't believe me. His mistress on the other hand said I'm crazy for not recognizing my own child"
"so, maria abducted Steven and gave you a dead child?" Rose asked
Of course.
" Yes, she did. She went as far as telling my husband to send me parking. I'm just grateful he didn't" Margaret said in a low tone.
"I will never do that to you. You know I love you" my dad said.
" Indeed you love me but not enough for you to go with me into the labour room" my mom hissed
" I didn't go with you because I can't bare to see you in pain" my dad said
"Any day I see that slut I'm going murder her in cold blood" mom threatened
" Maria is dead already" Steven said.
"Really, what happened to her...wait how did you know her?" My mom asked
"she has blood cancer. Maria always come to visit me once in a week at my orphanage home, before she died, she told me my real parents left me to starve and die, she also said you guys abandoned me because you couldn't afford the surgery fee"
" That's a big lie. We have the money to pay for all the patients in that hospital. Steven we have a lot of money" my mom said
The door bell Rang and Rose went to get it.
" The doctor is here" Rose announced
"Welcome Mr Johnson" my dad greeted
"Thank you" the male doctor in his late sixties replied
" We want a DNA test of this young man over there" my dad told the doctor pointing his index finger at Steven
"right away sir but the results will be ready by tomorrow"
" Sure" I replied
Steven pull off his jacket and rolled up the sleeve of his shirt, the doctor took his blood sample and my dad own and left promising to send the results to us tomorrow afternoon.
