★ 𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐲-𝐬𝐢𝐱 ★

one month later

"finally, we get to have the rest of the night to just chill out for once." i said, lounging across the couch. i rested my legs on awsten's lap and our two cats immediately ran to us.

"just a little over two months until the wedding. no cold feet yet, right?" awsten asked me. i shook my head.

"never. you're the person i want to spend the rest of my life with. i've never been so sure about something in my life." i assured him, smiling.

"god, i love you. come here, we should cuddle."

i got up and got closer to him, cuddling up to his side. he wrapped his arm around me and i rested my head on his shoulder. i watched as he scrolled through twitter, liking stupidly funny tweets and stuff that his fans were tweeting.

"hey, i have a question." i said.

"i probably have an answer." awsten replied. i just smiled and shook my head at his response.

"do we have to do our vows at the wedding? or can we do them before when it's just us? i just feel like it'll be more personal if we don't have all of our friends and family watching us."

"of course, if that's what you want to do. when do you want to do them then?"

"i have mine written and done if you're ready. but, if yours aren't done we can wait."

"yeah, mine are done. just let me go grab them." awsten said, getting up. i got up as well.

"i have to go grab mine too, don't worry." i told him.

we both walked to our bedroom, grabbing our papers that we wrote our vows on. we then walked back to the living room and sat back down on the couch.

"you wanna go first?" awsten asked me. i took a shaky breath and shook my head.

"no, i'm too nervous, can you go first?" i replied. he smiled and took my hand.

"you don't have to be nervous, baby. but, sure. i'll go first." he said.

"y/n, from the moment i met you i knew there was something special between us. we met when we were just kids, all the other kids in our class were bullying me because of my different colored eyes. you told them all off and then came up to me and told me you thought my eyes were cool. from that moment on, we were inseparable. we did everything together and finally when we were teens i got the guts to ask you to be my girlfriend. the day you agreed to be my girlfriend was the second best day of my life, second only to the day you agreed to marry me. i always knew it would be you and me, y/n. that's why i waited for you all those years and god, i am so glad that i did. i knew deep down that we're soulmates and we'd find each other again. whenever i write, i just want to write about you. i could write a million songs about how much i love you. you are the best thing that has ever happened to me and i sincerely cannot wait to grow old and have kids with you and travel the world with you. i love you so much, y/n l/n."

by the time he was done saying his vows, there were tears coming from both of our eyes. i dropped my paper and pulled him into a tight hug while the both of us cried, happy tears.

"i love you so much, awsten knight." i told my fiancé.

"i love you too, y/n. so much." he replied.

after we hugged, we pulled away and it was my turn. i read my vows to awsten, stopping a few times to wipe my tears. it was an emotional thing, bearing my entire soul to him in that moment. but, it was beautiful. mine and awsten's love was so beautiful.

when i was done with my vows, awsten pulled me into a kiss. he then kissed me a bunch of times, all over my face and neck. he left me a laughing mess.

"aha, awsten, stop it." i giggled. "i can't breathe."

"i love you." awsten said, kissing me after each word.

"i love you too but if you don't stop kissing me i'm gonna pee myself from laughing so hard." i warned him. he kissed me one last time on my forehead and stopped.

"i just wanted to prove that i love you."

"i know you love me, awsten. and, i love you too."

"well, i sure hope so. we're getting married after all."

"no, really? i had no idea."

"you are such a goofball." awsten told me. i just smiled.

"your goofball." i replied.

"til death do us part, jellybean."
