Flashback

It was a bright sunny day but for the boy who lost his father, the only family he had in this world, it was a gloomy day.
Jungkook was sitting under a cherry tree in the backyard of the orphanage where he spent most of his time. His fingers skimmed through the pictures of his father, stored neatly in an album that was laying on his lap. His pretty innocent eyes shedded tears of longing and sorrow for his father. His eyes never seemed to stop weeping nowadays.
"I miss you. Please come back, dad." He whispered through tears that decorated his cheeks. He hugged the album by his chest tightly and cried.

Suddenly, a soft, featherlight touch invaded his senses making him jolt. He lifted up his head to inspect the source of disturbance and was welcomed by a pair of doe eyes that were looking at him so cutely. In front of Jungkook stood a small baby, with rosy chubby cheeks, and a bright smile that immediately managed to warm his chest. He waddled close to Jungkook, climbing onto his lap and softly without any word wiped his tears.

"Awre you sadd?" He asked in his broken words. Jungkook couldn't say anything other than nodding his head.
"You want candy? Look! I have soo manny candies ." He said, fishing out some candies from his small strawberry bag hanging on his chest and offering them to Jungkook.
Jungkook slowly extended his palm for the candies and the little boy happily placed the fistful of candies on Jungkook's palm.
The little boy carefully closed his bag and waddled to Jungkook's side, placing his bum on the ground beside Jungkook. He looked up at the older boy with a blinding smile and just like that a smile made its way on Jungkook's lips as well.

"Thank you angel." Jungkook smiled ruffling the brown locks of the little boy.
"What's your name?" He asked as he unwrapped a red coloured candy and popped it inside his mouth. The sweetness of the candy soothing his tastebuds and filling him with a very welcoming warmth.

" Taetae." Jungkook couldn't help but coo at the excitement of the little angel. Jungkook looked at the boy adorably sitting on the grass with his tiny legs stretched out and the pretty pretty smile never leaving his face. Jungkook felt the heaviness pressing on his chest making him hard to breath without choking on his own sob, slowly leaving its clutches. He felt like he could breathe again. For a moment he forgot what sadness was he wallowing in for months. The little boy did nothing more than smile to overpower the gloom surrounding him.

"That's a cute name Taetae, but I will call you angel." Jungkook smiled, pinching the apple cheeks of the boy softly making him giggle. For the first time after his dad's death, Jungkook felt a warmth cocoon him from all the sadness hanging around him. The thick fog of suffocating loneliness started clearing out.

"What your name?" Tae asked, tilting his head cutely.
"My name is Jungkook, Angel." Jungkook replied.
"Junko." Tae repeated the name, unable to pronounce it clearly, making the older boy laugh.

"It's Jungkook, Jung.Kook." the older boy said with a fond smile.
"Jungko." The little one repeated the same broken name with a scrunch on his cute button nose.
"Alright! Alright, it's Junko for you." Jungkook's heart soared when a huge grin took over the little one's face.

"Junko Hyung!" The small boy air pumped his tiny hands cutely, his grin only getting bigger to have made the older boy laugh. Suddenly a thought appeared in Jungkook's mind. What if this is a dream? A wonderful dream where he felt the warmthn and ease after a long time and he would wake up to the same dark loophole like before. It felt too comfortable and light to be real.

"Jungko Hyung." and just like that, he realised this isn't a dream. This little boy is here infront of him, innocently consoling him by grabbing his face on his tiny but comforting palms. Where did he come from? He looked around for anyone who could be the little angel's guardian but found none.

"Angel, Can you tell Hyung how did you got here?" He spoke gently, grabbing the boy's attention who had now seated himself onto his lap playing with his strawberry bag.
"Taetae saw you from there," the boy pointed towards the window of Mr. Min's office, "you looked alone, Taetae wanted to share candiess with you." Tae pouted looking at the older boy with his doe eyes.
"What were you doing the office, angel?" Jungkook asked playing with the boy's fluffy hair. The little boy just looked at him pouting unable to answer.
"It's alright. Thank you for giving your candies to hyung." He slightly ruffled his hair.

"You're welcome, Jungko hyung." The boy said with a bright smile followed by giggles. The pure and innocent happiness that radiated from the boy automatically caused Jungkook to let out a giggle of his own. The wide eyed little fluff ball laughed more vigorously when he saw the older boy laugh along with him.
"Jungko hyung is a bunny." He exclaimed pointing at the two bunny teeth of the latter.
That made Jungkook laugh even more for no reason. The garden was soon filled with the cute giggles of the two boys lost in their own bubble.

From the far window, Min Heesung was looking at the scene with tears filled eyes. They were the tears of relief and happiness. He never thought he would see Jungkook laughing like that again. For months he has been watching the boy struggle with the sorrow of losing his father. He didn't know how to help him and that was eating him alive. He had apologized to his best friend for not being able to take care of his child again and again.
And now, seeing him laughing like that made him want to weep. He somehow felt a huge burden on his shoulders lift up.

That little boy was a miracle for Jungkook. He was shifted from another orphanage due some financial issues that orphanage was facing. He never thought that boy would be able to do something no one of them had succeeded upon since months. He looked at the sky with tears streaming down his face and hoped for his best friend to rest in peace. Looking at the two boys now running around the cherry tress with huge grins decorating their face, he thought
'Maybe everything is going to be okay now.'

Later, Jungkook brought TaeTae to the office and learned he will be living with them from now on. He also learned the boy's real name was Kim Taehyung and he was transferred to the orphanage just today. Taehyung somehow got so attached with Jungkook that he refused to leave him, clinging on his side. Heesung didn't had heart to separate the two and by the look in Jungkook's face, he also didn't wanted to be separated. So, Heesung decided to take Taaehyung with them to their house for now.

When Yoongi had returned from school at the evening, he was surprised to hear Jungkook's giggles coming from the playroom. He didn't even bother changing clothes as he ran into the playroom tackling the younger in a tight hug. He may have cried a little bit upon seeing his little brother's smile after a long time. Then, he was introduced to the little guy sitting there clutching a tiger plushie. Jungkook told Yoongi how the younger had came to him with candies and everything happened earlier. Yoongi thanked the heavens for sending the boy in the form of an angel. And when, Taehyung giggled telling how pretty Yoongi was, he couldn't help but coo at the younger. Jungkook and Yoongi laughing when the younger touched Yoongi's cheeks in awe calling him snow white.

Later that night, Min Heesung found three of the kids asleep cuddling with each other on the playroom's floor. He carefully shifted each one of them on the master bedroom of the house not wanting to separate them and left the room with a warm smile satisfied of his decision to bring the little sunshine in their home.
