Paris with her besties!
"Yo girl, this is about to be lit!" Janelle shouted out while they boarded first class.
"Girl, shhh!" Cassietta, Ms. Prim, and Proper said to her. "You can't be all ghetto up here."
Cassietta has been around money and first class all her life. Janelle was not used to the finer things in life till she was older and started using men as ATMs.
"Listen little leprechaun, let a sister live!"
That was a shot at Cassietta being only five feet tall, while Janelle was five-nine. The two did not get along when they first met three years ago, because Cassietta only hung around people with money, and Janelle made it clear she was not about all of that. She worked hard to stay close to their status, but the around-the-way girl in her would never leave.
"You two better not be like this the whole trip?" Tamyra said, sipping on her champagne. "Paris! With my girls!"
"That's what's up bestie, tell them!" Yancy toasted her glass with her oldest, closest friend. They told each other everything.
Well, she had not told her about Allistar coming back in her life, or the whole thing with JeVonte, but she planned on it. She would tell her friends everything. She needed their opinion.
"We are living the lifestyle of the rich and famous in here," Janelle sipped her champagne a little too loud on purpose. "What are they feeding us on this long-ass flight?"
She had been to Paris by herself two years ago and loved it so much. She promised herself as a treat, she would bring her friends to enjoy it as well. They were staying for seven days and six nights, all on her. She booked the flights and booked a suite of rooms. There were three adjoining rooms. She had the master suite for herself. They could fight over who was sharing a room and who had their own room.
They had a layover in Philadelphia, where they stopped and all devoured Philly cheesesteaks and fries. All her hard work of eating right and working out went out the door. It was vacation time, she was going to live it up.
Then they headed for the flight that would last nine hours into Paris. Janelle had never been. Cassietta had gone with her parents when she was younger. Tamyra went to southern France with a guy she was dating once. This was only her second time, but hands down her favorite city to visit.
She had traveled all over America in the last five years, and it all bored her now. International travel was where it was at. She had done all the Islands, Mexico, Brazil, Cuba, then Tokyo, and Beijing. Then she started on Europe. She hit up Rome first and enjoyed it, but not top of her list. Then London, and hated it there. Then Paris, and now she only ever wanted to go there.
It felt nice being able to afford to treat her girls. She was paying for all their food and drinks as well. All they had to spend money on was any extra they wanted, like when they went shopping, which she planned on doing a lot of that.
Her friends were quickly asleep on the flight, but she pulled out her tablet and did some work. Rather, read up on real estate happenings around her. She was thinking of expanding her business to other things. Why just rehab houses when there were other real estate she could buy? She flagged a couple of ideas before sleep hit her while they were somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean.
"Girls, we are here!" Cassietta happily sounded off as they landed.
They grabbed all their luggage, and they had a lot between them, then they had to clear customs, which was a nightmare. Once that was done, she had a car waiting for them. She spoke a little French, but Janelle was more fluent. She got around Paris just fine last time she was here just knowing the basics.
