"Fuck this. I give up" I shout and throw the weights on the ground.

Lando clears his throat and glares at me. "Don't give me that look! You're not the one who has to do this shit!" I snap and cross my arms and sit back down on the chair.

"You just have to be patient—""—Patience is not exactly my best trait you should know this" I argue and Lando sighs before coming over to me.

"It will be alright. Rome wasn't build in one day" Lando says and rest his hands on my knees.

"I can barely walk. Lando. It's embarrassing enough" I snap and shake my head.

"I know. But that's not how I see it" Lando says and smile at me.

"Then how do you see it?" I snap. I was discharged from the hospital three weeks ago and I struggled a lot.

My wound in my spine was a scar, but I felt that it was still an open wound.

I struggled with walking properly. I couldn't walk fast and it was embarrassing as hell.

My retirement had been announced to the whole world and Redbull were sorry that it came this far.

Now it was up to me to get better.

And I wasn't succeeding.

"Baby, you're too angry with yourself. You need to relax and let it come to you. The doctors said your wounds have healed properly. It's psychological" Lando says and I roll my eyes and scoff.

"Psychological my ass" I say and cross my arms again.

"Nat, come on. Try it with me. Use me for support" Lando tries and I shake my head no.

"And embarrass myself even more? No thank you" I say, but Lando pulls me up and as I stand up I grab his shoulders.

"Come on, try one. Just for me" Lando begs and I sigh in defeat.

He put his hands on my hips and as he moves his legs backwards, I move mine forward following the leg he walked backwards with.

"See, you got it" Lando says and I realize he's right.

"Why doesn't the weights help?" I ask frustrated. That's what they said I had to work with.

"Because it's too soon. Walk first, weights later to build up your muscles" Lando says and I sigh.

"I'm sorry" I say and smile sheepishly. "Well, you did warn me that you would be difficult" Lando says with a shrug.

"That's true" I say and chuckle.

"How do you feel about coming to my race tomorrow?" Lando asks carefully. I hadn't been on a track since the incident.

"I can barely walk. When I return to a track, I want to be walking gracefully through the gates" I retort and Lando chuckles a bit.

"You always walk like somebody's about to be punched" Lando says and I gasp.

"I do not!" I argue and Lando kiss me. I kiss back and laugh a little.

"We have just walked around for ten minutes and you didn't even notice" Lando noted as he pulled away.

"What? Really?" I ask confused and look at his watch.

"Yes, really" Lando says and I cheer.

"I love you" Lando says and I kiss him once again.

"And I love you" I say as I pull away.

It's now two months since being discharged and I had recovered gracefully. I still struggled with standing or walking for too long.

But the doctor cleared me and said it had to be trained. So, we did.
