THIRD'S POV

Jungkook couldn't believe it but what Jamie had told him was true, completely true.

The impact of that realization left him stunned and unable to respond when his father, Jeon Jiwoo of Jeon Designs, made the public announcement.

He just stood there watching as everything he'd worked for was given to another man, an outsider, someone who'd worked for them for less than a year.

"Lee Jih, a valued and exemplary employee who came to us just a few months ago, will be taking over as managing director of my small company. He will oversee all projects from now on and will have sole authorization powers."

"I look forward to stepping back a little and having someone as capable as Jih carrying the load for me." Jiwoo told the room full of laborers and employees that Jih was their new boss.

"What about Jungkook, your son? He's been doing it all for years."

"I don't understand." Leave it to Joss to ask the question that was on everyone's mind.

Joss was an older gentleman and an artist when it came to stonework.

He'd worked for Jiwoo for years and had earned the right to speak his mind.

He and Jungkook got on well together and Joss was never one to shy away from confrontations.

Jungkook looked around the room shuffled his feet awkwardly and searched for words to explain this blatant betrayal of family. Jungkook was surprised and also not surprised.

He and his father were never close but they had a functional working relationship and he had expected advancement.

He never gave Jungkook any indication that he was preparing to snub him in favor of this man, this unknown.

"Jungkook will remain in his current position with all decision-making passing to Jih." Jiwoo stated and stared at Jungkook with a look of cruel disdain.

"That's pretty fucked up, pretty fucked up." Joss never minced words.

"I'll be turning in my resignation by the end of the day." Joss finished and turned and left the room.

Jungkook paused for a second and then followed him out of the room, Joss wasn't the only one turning in his resignation.
