The former site of the Jacksonville Landing was now nothing more than a vacant lot, the large, expansive building that used to serve as its centerpiece having been demolished about a year prior, back in 2019. Despite it being torn down, the city's construction crew had yet to decide on an establishment to build in its place, and as such it was currently just a grassy expanse with nothing notable in particular for several feet around. The area was so wide and open, in fact, that it had room to hold Duncan's aircraft and Coldsnap's ice dragon steed, despite both of them being of a similar size. Once they touched down safely on the ground, Coldsnap dismounted her steed and dismissed it, allowing to fly away for the time being. In kind, Duncan lowered the entry ramp of his vessel and disembarked the plane, with The Crawler, The Viper, Nightclaw, and Powerhouse right behind him.

The icy heroine had light-blue hair, and a domino mask of a similar color framed her steely-azure eyes. Her main costume consisted of a one-piece, dark purple, elastic suit with light-blue accessories, such as a pair of arm-length gloves, two knee-high boots, and a utility belt. She also wore two elegant, ornate snowflake-patterned shoulder pauldrons, and grasped her ice sword tightly in her right hand. A long, sleek, light-blue cape flowed behind her, completely clean, pure, and spotless. Finally, in the center of her suit was a big, light-blue, shimmering snowflake emblem with a dark-purple "C" emblazoned perfectly in the middle of it.

When both parties met in the middle of the field, Coldsnap was the first to speak up.

"So hey, what's been going on?" she asked, soon taking notice of all the superheroes accompanying the doctor. "Oh, shit, am I about to be recruited for something?"

Duncan took a deep breath. "Yep. You were always one to figure things out quickly."

Soon, he noticed that The Crawler was turned around, covering his head with his hands and cowering in fear.

"Umm.....is he okay?" Coldsnap inquired, pointing towards the lizard with her thumb. "He knows I'm one of the good guys, right?"

"He's just paranoid that you might render him completely helpless with your superpowers," the doctor replied. "After all, lizards are cold-blooded."

"Don't get close to me!" The Crawler ordered. "Duncan was nice enough to use his serum to give me life, and I'm not about to lose it now! If I'm going to die, I'm going to die defending him!"

Coldsnap laughed amusedly. "Don't worry.....as I already said before, anyone who's close with Duncan is alright to me."

"Wait, you're actually cool with this dude?" Nightclaw chimed in. "Even after the whole 'Herculean Serum' thing? I'm only following him 'cause The Viper said so....."

"Wow, thanks for the vote of confidence, Nightclaw," Duncan snarked.

"I too, know the pain of his schemes firsthand. He orchestrated an attack on the Blue Moon Bouquet Club in Mercury Heights that led to my father Elias's death," Powerhouse added. "However.....he did help me take down a sex trafficking ring, so it all kind of evens out."

"Well.....I, for one, I believe that everyone should be given a second chance," Coldsnap responded. "Duncan helped me restore my vision with his Opti-Vis implant....if it weren't for him, I would've likely have gone blind by now. People are capable of turning themselves around for the better.....after all, I've seen it with my own eyes. .....No pun intended. Regardless, for that.....he has definitely earned my friendship."

"A girl with cryokinesis? Interesting! I used to think Duncan, The Crawler, and I were the only heroes around, but we've put together quite the party....." The Viper commented.
