Chapter 44 : The Other Woman.

- Flashback -

It was the second year of college, Bible was dating Build for a few months now and he got worried as days passed. He was waiting for his lover to be ready to give him his first time and when they did it, he was mesmerized by this cute boy who made his heart beats faster. How could he tell him his darkness ? Would he lose him ? Would Build be disgusted by him ? He was scared, it was easier to ditch him for his best friend than to tell the truth, he didn't want to see the fear in his beautiful eyes.

As months passed, he met a girl named Nina to whom he told everything one night when he was drunk. She was there for him, she gave him this idea which would destroy his relationship. He planned everything with her, where, how and to be sure that Build would come to watch them. It was that night at this nightclub where he made his choice and broke the heart of Build. They did too much, Bible and Nina's plan worked too well, the show they gave to him changed him forever and if the ending was a success. Bible started to be haunted by his choice, how his life was boring and not filled with joy without his lover even if he wanted to not be a freak for him. Maybe he could be forgiven and have another chance by telling the truth now ?

How wrong he was, Build heard his explanation and asked him to never see him again. He tried to be what people think of when they would see him. That gave him an ego that wasn't even his, though he looked fine. Deed inside, he was sad and heartbroken because of himself. He wore the same t-shirt and he didn't washed his hair. But all of that was fine when he didn't go outside because lately he was not fond of the light and he colored in all of the lenses of his glasses. He stayed in bed because it's better when he was fast asleep, in his dreams, no one believes what they see and could understand him, could see what he was really.
His family chose it was better for him to be abroad after his graduation because he was a mess and even Nina didn't know what to do to help him since they became close.

After years in America, Bible was still thinking about Build. Twin flames burned out, not enough love to go around. He was sitting all alone just contemplating why it was soulmates wrong lifetime like he could see in movies. If they were meant to be then why they couldn't be together. He really fucked it up for good this time. Now, he was driving down the same road and listen to the same damn song. They made plans they unfolded.
It's hard to fall in love when you're both so broken. He could only blame himself and keep waiting to have another chance. He thought Build was going to call him when his birthday rolled around. Who knew silence was too much ? What the hell happened to everything they talked about ? Bible suffered a lot, struggled with his own until Nina finally came to join him there. She became his best friend and they started to work together.

Build heard from Mile that Nina was Bible, that's how his friends started to tell around that they were dating and since they were not in Bangkok to deny it. It was too late when they came back years after and then, they decided to play as a couple to help Bible to forget his ex boyfriend thinking he moved on. After all, they all thought they would never cross paths again. Until this night, this meeting where Bible was invited and bought Nina along. He saw his stunned ex boyfriend, his heart betrayed him and he learned that it was impossible to forget him. He had this idea to maybe get back together with him, but as always he was wrong and he watched Jeff, the one he could never like being close to him. He was sad and angry to hear his friends saying they matched well together. Thanks to Nina, he stayed calm as he could. He hoped to not see him again if it was to look at him being happy with another man when it was his place before.

It was his karma, he was sure about that. Alone, he couldn't stop himself to be angry with Build and he regretted it after, even Nina called him a dumb because it was like pushing him towards Jeff, not was he wanted at all. Nina was exhausted about her friend being this stupid about his love so she tried to help him as much she could. She forgot that Bible would meet Jeff and Build again as they had the same common friends. They witnessed enough time of this new couple for a week, Nina was powerless as she watched her friend being deeper hurt, sad. She did her best to pretend to be his fake girlfriend when it was hard for her, Bible's friends were mean to her because of Build and she was not strong enough to handle this most of the time. Some nights, she would sigh in her bed, wishing to have an easier life, she was a model and she was struggling some days at her job. She was too busy with her job and Bible's problems to have time for love until she met someone.

Nina joined Bible in his work when Jeff was out with Build and they talked about everything, Nina told him she couldn't be his fake girlfriend and that Bible should talk with his heart to Build. She was still rooting for him. So they came up with this story of a fake breakup. That's when Bible finally had his chance to meet alone Build, he told him he would break up with Nina if he gave him another chance. It was not truly true, yet he couldn't tell him all the truth now.

Bible : So ? Are you mad at me ?

Build : Well. I don't know what to feel. You never dated Nina then ?

Bible : Never. She is my best friend. A Sister if you prefer ? She nags a lot, but thanks to her I'm better.

Build : Why ?

Bible : The same as you did with Jeff. I wanted to move on and you believed it, it was better for you to hate me like this than to know I was single, hating myself every day since that night where I destroyed both of us.

Build : I want to meet Nina too, and I need to apologize to her too, I know that our friends were really mean to her.

Bible : Don't worry. She was more mad at me than to you and she told me that she thought she deserved it because she agreed to my plan when she had her doubts about it.

Build : I was jealous for nothing.

Bible : She has a boyfriend.

Build : Alright. Any other other secret ?

Bible : No. It was only this fake relationship.

Build : Great. I have no other secret too. All clean we are. Now, you can do the fire camp while I make our bed under the stars for tonight.

Bible : As you wish, my wife.

Build : You're cheesy, hubby.
