Chapter 28 : Thunder.

In a fancy bar, Mile sits in a special area waiting for his best friend. He is not sure to help him, because he remembers too well how his relationship barely made it when Bible cheated on Build and he was torn between his boyfriend and his best friend. Even if he likes him, yet he is not blind to see that his friend is far from perfect. Everybody can make mistakes, but he never understood how he was wrong about Bible because he really thought he was in love with Build, he changed and cared for him as he never did it for anyone before. He was shocked when he learnt about his affair with Nina, he never expected that and he felt bad for Build, he was a cute innocent boy.

Bible makes his appearance, he sits in front of Mile. He waves his hands to wake him up from his thoughts, then he orders drinks for both of them they need it.

Bible : I can't lose him to Jeff. I need to win him back.

Mile : Are you sure about it ?

Bible : Of course, I am !

Mile : You already hurt him once. Can you be sure to do the rights things now ?

Bible : What do you mean ? I don't deserve a second chance ?

Mile : You were not there Bible. Build is sensitive more than you can think. Apo asked me to not talk about this with you, but even if I'm your best friend I don't want Build to suffer again so I will tell you everything.

Bible : What ? Are you hiding something from me ?

Mile : When you were exposed, Build stayed at home for weeks. He never took a leave to rest with his family. Apo took me one time with him and asked me to never talk about what I would see to anyone. Build was not himself, it was heartbreaking to look at someone who was a happy virus to be someone who couldn't smile at all. You broke him for real. His friends needed to come in turn to help him to wash, to be sure he ate and to clean his house. It was like he was not here anymore, one day someone couldn't come and forgot to warn the others... I should not tell you this.. Apo would be mad..

Bible : Please.. Tell me..

Mile : Well, the next day it was Apo to come, but he couldn't come before the afternoon and I can guarantee that until today, Apo is scared to hell when Build doesn't answer him because of this incident... He went to his house to help him with everything, nobody answered him when he entered inside and since it was all dark, he had a bad feeling about that... He reached the living room, Build was not there so he went to his bedroom and, again he was not there. The last place was the bathroom, as soon as he opened the door, he saw Build on the floor. He was worried because Build didn't move, he called an ambulance and went to the hospital.

Bible : What happened to him ?

Mile : He collapsed with a bloody nose, he was sick because he didn't eat for two days and he was already weak. Build was ashamed, so only Apo knows about it. It was hard for him to start over. That's why I'm asking you in the name of our friendship, can you treat him well this time ? Can you handle his insecurity, his fear ? Because you will have to live with the guilt if something bad happens to him if he can't handle another failure with you. If you're not sure, you can still back off.

Bible : I didn't know that.. It was probably too easy to think it was better for him without me.. But I know that I lose my chance to be truly happy and the love of my life. Meeting him again was a sign of the universe. I want to give my everything to win him back and if after everything he doesn't choose me, then I will step back for his happiness.

Mile : Glad to hear that. So, what is your mind ?

Bible : I need a plan to make Jeff busy and unable to meet Build, so I can have a chance to show him I'm serious.

Mile : I can help you with that.

They talk about the plan for a while until it sounds perfect to them, they are happy about it and they can't wait tomorrow to put it into action. They think it can't fail, they studied all the possibilities and everything that might happen to make some changes if they need it.

The next day, Jeff receives a message from Mile to meet him for lunch which he agrees to do. Meanwhile, Bible is waiting in front of Build's building with chocolate, but nobody answers him. He tries to call Build, again, he can't reach him, it's impossible because Jeff is probably joining Mile now. It can't happen, he asked every friend of Bible with the help of his best friend so nobody would have seen him today. He is thinking hard about what it's happening and where Build is right now. He sends a text to Mile.

Bible : " He is not at home.. What do I do now ?"

Mile : "Yes, I know..."

Bible : " How ?"

At the same time, Jeff enters the restaurant with Build holding his arm and they walk towards Mile with big smiles. They are not dumb, they have their own plans where they knew Bible would do something like that and the only one to help him was of course his best friend. They sit face to him, greeting him and Mile sends a last text before talking to them.

Mile : " Jeff brought him here.."

Jeff : Sorry, my cutie wanted to come when I told him where I was going. I hope it's okay for you.

Mile : No problem. It's nice to see you too Build.

Build : Thank you. The food is so good here and I wanted to spend more time with Jeff.

Jeff : Order everything you want to eat, it's on me sweetie.

Mile : You're cute together. Will you spend the afternoon together too ?

Jeff : I have some work to do, so I don't think.

Build : I'm meeting Us after lunch, Jeff will take me to his home.

Jeff : For sure, since you love to ride my motorbike.

Mile : That's great. So you have no free time where you will hang out alone at your home Build ?

Build : I don't know. Maybe ? Maybe not ?

Jeff : Don't forget, we will spend my days off together too. I promised you to take you somewhere out of town.

Build : How can I forget that ? I'm so excited to leave for this island where we will be disconnected from the world.

Mile : You will take vacations together ? And your friends ? Why don't we all go somewhere together ?

Build : We did it for my surprise party, no ? And my friends are busy.

Jeff : Yeah, let's go only you and me sweetie.

Mile : Apo talked about taking some days off to rest. Where is your island ? It could be great for him.

Mile knows that Apo is an important matter for Build, because he was there for him in his darkest days and he hopes to coax him with that, even if it's unfair. But what can he do when Bible doesn't stop to tell him what to do by texts.

Build : Well.. I don't know.. Jeff... What do you think ? He is my best friend... Can we allow him and Mile to come with us ? Please ?

Jeff : Everything for my cutie. I will send you all details later for Apo and you.

Mile : Thank you. He will be so happy.
