Chaeyoung's POV

Walking up to the revolving door of Espresso Delight Chaeyoung felt irritated and tired. It's 6am and she is already starting off the work week in a GREAT mood. Don't get her wrong, she likes her job, she just isn't good at it... at all. Chaeyoung spent another weekend you-tubing "how-to" videos on all things coffee. At this point, she wasn't even sure how she was still employed, let alone hired on in the first place.

As soon as she was through the entrance Taeyong was already down her throat. Taeyong was the over achieving, employee of the month - every month, cocky kind of guy. Chaeyoung was glad she only got to deal with him a bit as he usually just stuck to making drinks, while she mainly stayed at the cash register, for obvious reasons.

"Roseanne look alive! After you clock in I need you to start prepping the mocha and brew some fresh black coffee, de-caf and caf. Oh! And don't forget your name tag like you did on Friday! We had a couple of complaints and all we could go off was their description. And you're the only blondie that works here so try harder okay? Okay. Talk soon!" Chaeyoung mentally face palmed herself and took off towards the back, behind the wooden counter, into the office to clock in.

Roseanne. Chaeyoung forgets every single time someone addresses her by that, that that's what she goes by professionally. Not by her choice though. When she first started her boss, whom is a 65 year old woman named Connie, asked her to use as "Chaeyoung" is too hard for customers to say. Although Chaeyoung wasn't sure why SHE had to use the english name when Taeyong and Ryujin could waltz around using their ethnic names.

After clocking in Chaeyoung did exactly as she was told, well, tried to anyways. She first started with prepping the mocha. After a few complaints escaped her mouth every so often, she finally got it complete. Then she started on the black coffee, putting new filters in, the beans, cleaning, and everything else that was on Taeyong's extensive opening checklist.

"Roseanne, make sure we get the mocha IN the containers next time, not all over us, go change your apron please." Taeyong chimed when he saw Chaeyoung's dirty apron, full of mocha all over it.

"It's not my fault it likes to explode everywhere when I try to blend it..." Chaeyoung reasoned with the push-over.

Chaeyoung changed her apron as she was told and began opening the register. This was the easiest part of the job for her, counting the money, making sure everything balanced out from the evening before, and making sure everything was running properly.

Chaeyoung contemplated why she even took this job five months ago, then she remembered it was because she was at her wits end in job searching and this is the only place that seemed down her alley. Boy was she wrong. Chaeyoung also contemplated quitting multiple times a shift, and she also remembered that she's not a quitter and she needs to see things through. Chaeyoung was determined to get better at being a barista, and was determined to not be fired.

The doors to Espresso Delight opened up at exactly 7am on the dot. And then at exactly 7:30am Ryujin came stumbling through the doors.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Chaeyoung asked flatly. She didn't understand how Ryujin could be late everyday but never caught any slack from it. Not to mention she had a new excuse literally everyday as to why she was running so behind. Somehow, someway, she always got out of opening chores, and Chaeyoung was forever jealous because of it.

"Well good morning to you too Rose." Ryujin scoffed heading behind the counter going into the back to clock in. "If you're really wondering, I got hit by a car today." All of the employees seemingly stopped what they were doing and stared at her blankly. This was the excuse she was running with today? Seriously?
