Chaeyoung's POV

Ding Ding

Chaeyoung thought she might've been dreaming when she heard the doorbell to her apartment. No one ever just showed up to her place out of the blue. Especially at, Chaeyoung didn't even know what time it was. It felt early to her though.

Checking the time Chaeyoung groaned, she slept in and no called no showed to work. She knew she'd be written up for that one, but she could honestly care less considering things. It was 10am, Chaeyoung wasn't in the mood to get up yet, she turned back around closing her eyes

She heard the bell again and confirmed someone was definitely outside her front door. Chaeyoung rolled out of her bed, ran a brush through her hair quickly, then threw on a pink robe. "I'm coming, Jesus!" Chaeyoung shouted rushing to her door.

Opening it she nearly gasped aloud. It was the one person she didn't want to see. Jennifer.

"Do you need something?" Chaeyoung asked rudely.

"Yeah, I want to talk to you about things. I've really messed up and- there's just a lot of things you don't know and I need to explain. I need to talk." Jennifer explained briefly to Chaeyoung as to why she was outside her door.

"Don't you have work? Like a busy workload or something to tend to?" Chaeyoung crooked an eyebrow and crossed her arms tightly.

"No. This is more important to me." Jennifer stated. "Please Chaeyoung, let me explain. Let me explain before you get a twister version of the 'truth'." Jennifer pleaded with the girl.

"Come in I guess." Chaeyoung moved to the side and let the shorter girl in her home.

"You didn't go to work today." Jennifer made the observation. "I went there first and didn't see you. So I came here."

"Yeah I slept in. Couldn't be bothered to go in today. I'm a little emotional of some sort." Chaeyoung responded honestly.

"I can see. I'm sorry."Jennifer apologized without giving a reason why. That was Chaeyoung's biggest pet peeve, empty apologies.

"Mhm."

"So can I sit down please?" Jennifer asked, standing awkwardly in the entry way.

"Sure." Chaeyoung led her to her living room and sat on the couch.

"I have made a lot of mistakes Roseanne. A lot. We're human and we do that. But I'm not a normal human I guess. I just chronically make mistakes all the time." Jennifer rambled on. Chaeyoung didn't want to listen if she was being honest with herself. It all sounded like excuses to her. She was waiting for the 'you're a nice girl and all but I don't like you like that' addition.

"Please don't call me Roseanne in my home." Chaeyoung abruptly interrupted the girl.

"Oh? I'm sorry I- I don't know what you mean by that. What should I call you?" Jennifer asked confused.

"I haven't been honest either. My name is Chaeyoung. I use Roseanne at work to be more professional and so customers can recall it better. My managers orders." Chaeyoung replied.

"No kidding? I lied about my name as well. Among other things... My names Jennie." Jennie once known as Jennifer to Chaeyoung answered.

Jennie. That sounded a little too familiar for Chaeyoung. She sat in thought.

"What's wrong?" Jennie interrupted her thoughts.

"I feel like I know a Jennie. Or of one..." Chaeyoung trailed off. She knew she had heard that name recently and wasn't sure where.
