Chaeyoung's POV

As soon as Chaeyoung got back home she took a shower and laid down for the night. The blonde could not stop thinking about the night she just had, and who she just spent it with.

Chaeyoung was never the type to just spontaneously do things like that. Spur of the moment was so unlike her, but maybe she was getting bolder in her older age.

Not being able to contain the excitement, she called her sister.

"Chaeyoung? It's kinda late is everything alright?" Alice, Chaeyoung's older sister asked with concern.

"Oh yeah, I'm fine sis. I just wanted to tell you I went on a date tonight. It was really fun, I liked it." She smiled thinking back again.

"Oh Chaeyoung that's great! I'm so proud of you, and I'm happy you're finally putting yourself out there. Keep it up and stay in touch, got it?" Alice reminded her younger sister.

"Of course I will Ali. I want you to know all about her, we should meet up soon to talk about life and what not." Chaeyoung responded hopeful.

"I'm sure I can make that happen. Stay safe okay? Visit mom soon, she misses you." Alice was always looking out for her younger sibling. She was the best, over protective older sister anyone could ask for.

The two said their goodbyes and promised to stay in touch. Alice is a busy prosecuting lawyer in LA and doesn't have much time for anything outside of work. Chaeyoung only got to see her during holidays or special occasions. But even though they spend a lot of time a part, they still manage to keep up with one another and stay close.

The girls were four years a part and they never fought with one another growing up. Their parents were so satisfied in the two, and were happy to have raised such polite and respectful young ladies. However, Alice grew up to make something out of herself and Chaeyoung on the other hand... Well. She was a blubbering idiot and failure to her folks. But she was determined to change their minds one day.

Chaeyoung didn't see her parents much as they made her feel small and worthless. She always felt pressured to be better and do things she didn't enjoy. So one day she just stopped living for others and started living for herself. She didn't know how many bonds she'd break in doing so. Especially her parents out of all people.

Not to mention, when she came out as a lesbian, they completely shunned her for a whole year. They shoved the religion down her throat and tried getting ward of state on her to place her in conversion therapy. Chaeyoung overcame everything and ultimately her parents stopped trying to control her entire life. But they didn't stop with the ridiculing and belittling.

That's why Chaeyoung never sees her family or her parents. She was ashamed for it, but it needed to be done. Her mental health meant more to her then an hour visit just to be kicked out at the end.

She knew her mom didn't feel as strongly about things as her father. But because of culture and familial structure, her mother couldn't speak up and defend Chaeyoung. Chaeyoung knew and understood this, but it didn't make things any easier. Especially when her mom would just sit back and let all of these horrific things be said to her and about her. Or things done to her.

Chaeyoung pushed all her thoughts aside running wildly and focused on one: Jennifer. She couldn't believe she actually went on a real date with someone. Not just someone even, a whole ass customer.

Chaeyoung wondered if the vibes would be off now when the lady came into her work. Would she look at her differently? Would she stop coming in everyday? Did she make a mistake? Chaeyoung didn't want to think anymore. She let her brain rest and went to bed.
