Chaeyoung's POV

Chaeyoung woke up again in cold sweats, panting out of breath and shaking. Desperate to find her phone, she turned on her bedside lamp. She was having nightmares for three solid weeks now.

It was 2 o'clock in the morning and Chaeyoung started to internally panic as she had work tomorrow. One more day until Halloween. She couldn't fathom how quickly October had gone by for her.

Through all of the heartache, nightmares, arguments, crying, emotional rollercoasters, meeting new people, and watching new shows, Chaeyoung was spent. October was jam packed full of drama and different things and Chaeyoung hated it.

Not to mention LA has been cramming Halloween down her throat all month and she's creeped out from it. The scary costumes and movies are enough for her already. Ever since Jennie's confession, the fight in the park, and things in between, Chaeyoung has been spooked.

Lately though the flashbacks only reoccur in form of dreams. She's no longer experiencing them in her conscious reality and she's content with that. She can handle dream version of her father, not reality version.

Gulping a glass of water and taking an Ibuprofen Chaeyoung laid back down. She wanted them to stop, but knew they wouldn't until her mind could ease again. But ever since everything went down, she hadn't been able to shake them and settle herself down.

She considered therapy a couple of times, but she never pressed the button to go ahead and do it. She couldn't bring herself to talk about her traumas aloud. She was afraid it would just haunt her even more than it does now.

1.2.3 Chaeyoung counted until she fell back asleep. She prayed she wouldn't have another nightmare.

BEEP BEEP BEEP

Chaeyoung grabbed her phone and made the annoying sound shut off. She decided to finally use a proper alarm sound instead of a song. She came to regret that decision as well.

Jennie: Good morning :) Did you sleep alright?

Chaeyoung and Jennie had been steadily talking more and more everyday since she came to her place. Chaeyoung hadn't heard back from Lisa yet, she wasn't sure if she ever would. She understood if she didn't want to talk to her about things. But Chaeyoung still wanted to know if Jennie was telling the truth about her or not. A lot of questions remained.

She had no other choice but then to believe Jennie. Onda had tried talking to Chaeyoung at work every day during break about Lisa, but Chaeyoung shut her down every time. She felt deep down that if Lisa wasn't who Jennie said she was, then she would reach out on her own.

Chaeyoung contemplated reaching out to Lisa herself a few times. She stopped herself each time though. This was something Lisa wanted to do in the first place, so she'll let her.

And just because Chaeyoung is slowly talking to Jennie, didn't mean anything. If she found out she was lying to her, she would cut her off so quick.

Jennie still doesn't even know much about Chaeyoung. They've been with one another just one time since they met that morning. It was a nice hangout. Jennie came over to Chaeyoung's place, they watched a movie and talked, and then Jennie left. Nothing happened, and Chaeyoung was happy about that. She felt progress was being made.

Chaeyoung didn't care about having a relationship with Jennie in that way. A friendship would be just fine, and that's how she wants it to stay. Jennie of course is trying to make it turn out into another outcome, but Chaeyoung reeled her in every time.

Chaeyoung: Morning, I slept fine, you?

She messaged the girl back and got ready for work. A few more messages were sent between the two and then Chaeyoung put her phone in her pocket for the day.
