THE SUN ROSE AND SOON DID THE COMPANY AS WELL; Adella being the first awake once again. The female had also taken it upon herself to ready the others ponies, not because she wanted to leave quickly, which may have been a factor, but because she simply wanted to perform a kind deed for the Dwarves she had to live with for the next several months.
The company was in shock as they awoke to their ponies freshly groomed and their saddles on. With Adella not able to voice that she was the one who readied them, the Dwarves were quite happy to shout their
thanks. They were happy to not be pressed with the burden. Now all on their ponies, the group set off for another day of traveling. Thorin once again leading the pack and Adella followed in the back. Fili and Kili split their time between riding behind their Uncle, to riding on either side of Adella, speaking with each other over the blondes head, occasionally getting her to smile or blush. It soon becoming their favorite pastime and a strange form of communication with the Siren.
"Stop!" Gandalf suddenly called loudly over everyone's chatter. Looks of panic and worry flooded the Dwarves faces. "Quiet." He added.
Adella's ear twitched as she heard it. It soon became obvious to her that Gandalf had sensed something and needed her to confirm. The sound that reached Adella's ears slowly grew louder. Quietly, she hopped down from her pony, curious eyes on her every move. She lent down, propping herself on one knee. Her hand lowered to the ground, her eyes closing. It was as if her senses became heightened. She could feel the beating of the Wargs awful paws on the ground. She could hear them breathe, as well as the Orcs that sat atop them, speaking in their native tongue.
Her head spun back to the company quickly. She sent a sharp nod to the Wizard, informing him that he was right to be concerned.
"Orcs." Gandalf spoke. "We must be further west than we originally believed. We must go, now!" He instructed.
Adella jumped back onto her pony, taking off quickly with the company. She knew the commotion would most likely alert the Orcs. With bow now in hand, Adella spun around on her mount, aiming for the Warg. The beast was far, but not far enough for an arrow to pierce it's skull, killing it instantly.
She readied the bow again, taking aim at the next beast, this one with a disgusting Orc on its back. She kept her eyes on the beasts, reaching behind her head to retrieve another arrow from her quiver, notching it back with the other, before sending it flying. It struck the Orc; fatal, she wasn't sure. The other arrow striking the Warg, causing it to yelp out in pain.
