THE AFTER enthusiasm of a live show shivered up an idol's body beautifully, and Kaoru enjoyed that weighty feeling even more now that you came back to work. As ravenous it may of be of him, he dreaded to ever be apart from you after what you endured in that forest with Anzu.
"Dang, I feel like we're working to the bone just to cover up the stress the higher ups are going through." Koga groaned in the lounge of the live house, a half full water bottle in a hand.
"I'm sorry, guys. It'll be over soon. Your schedules aren't going to get twisted after this." you blame yourself for a portion of this situation, given that after your incident, the media has been questioning the ethics of Ensemble square. That meant the whole system had to be given time for them to repair the damage caused by your ex witch.
"It's not your fault." Kaoru assured, a hand around your shoulders when he stepped next to you, "Those figures don't know how indebted they are to you, it's ridiculous." You smile at him, grateful that the mourning had eased because of these idols.
" Our fans seem happy that we're so active, don't they?" Adonis points out.
"Of course." Rei chuckles, hands on the backrest of the couch Koga was sitting on, "Thanks to our lady over here, things have been going smoothly. This is the most we've received of her attention."
"You hear that?" Kaoru ruffled your hair, and that earned a flustered laugh from you.
"Yeah, and it's not like we dislike performing." Koga shrugs. It wasn't that their live shows were their only activity either. You handled more of their jobs ever since Undead was chosen as one of the units to preserve a diversion in the wariness towards your status.
"Well, at least we have the rest of the day left. The afternoon is still fresh, so let's enjoy it." You comment. Koga darts up from the couch. "Right. Guess it's best to grab a bite and walk Leon."
"If there's anything you need from us, you know where to reach us." Rei directs that at you, and Adonis gives you an encouraging smile.
"Thank you, guys. Really, you're too reliable... heh."
It's not too late when they leave to the dressing rooms. The opened window of the lounge lets in gaps of lightly-glacial autumnal kisses, a benefaction to the post show adrenaline and excitement, and that thrill made you stop Kaoru was exiting the room.
"Kaoru," you hold onto his wrist, and what almost takes you aback is how quick he turns back to you with an amused smile, "There's something I want to ask you."
