Neil's P.O.V.
"Don't lick your fingers, precious." I take Audrey's hand out of her mouth as we enter the bathroom in her room.
"Yummy." She smacks her lips, giggling.
"I know, kiddo." I place her on the counter of the sink.
I wash her hands and her face, which were of course a total mess. Picking her up, I enter her walk-in closet. There are too many clothes and it baffles my mind how Millie managed to buy so many clothes in a mere few hours.
"What do you want to wear, precious?" I ask my little girl.
"That one!" Audrey shouts, pointing at a pastel yellow t-shirt.
"Alright, little one." I grab the shirt, getting out of the closet.
Putting my little one down, I hand her the shirt. "Can you change into this shirt, sweetheart? I will be right outside the door."
"Otay, Misser Neil."
I pick up Audrey after she tells me she's done changing. "Where did you put your old shirt, honey?"
"Don't know." She tells me, yawning. Rubbing her eyes, she rests her head on my shoulder.
"You are a sleepy girl, aren't you?" I kiss her head, rubbing her back. I lightly pace around the room, looking for the shirt. I chuckle, finding it under the rocking chair. Picking it up, I dump it in the laundry basket.
By the time, I'm downstairs, Audrey is almost out.
"Look what I have here." I say in a low tone to my beautiful wife, who is washing some sippy cups and bottles.
Millie turns around and breaks into a smile, seeing the little bundle of joy in my arms.
"She fell asleep?" Millie comes up to me.
"Almost." I kiss my wife, bending down a little.
"Give her to me." My wife demands to take my baby girl.
"Nope." I say, before skipping to our living room. Apparently, Audrey quite didn't like me moving too quickly. She whines loudly.
"Shh. Shh." I bounce her a little, cupping the back of her head. She settles down, eventually. By the time, my dear wife is already here.
"Come on, babe!"
"Don't disturb us woman, someone is taking a little shut-eye." I say, sitting down on couch. Millie sits down next to me.
"She is so adorable." Millie smooths out our baby girl's hair.
"She is."
"She is drooling all over you." Millie tells me. And it turns out to be right. Audrey has two of her fingers in her mouth as she drools on my shirt.
Taking out her fingers out of her mouth, I say "We have to change this habit."
"Yeah." Millie mumbles, leaning against me. I wrap my other hand around her, kissing her temple.
..
I didn't realise I fell asleep until I feel Audrey stir up in my arms. She rubs her eyes with her tiny fists before stretching her hands over her head.
"Such a big stretch!" I tickle her under her chin, erupting her into giggles.
"Why you so big?" Audrey asks as she stands up on my lap.
"I am just big." I stand up with my little girl in my arms.
"Where is Mrs. Millie?"
"Let's find out, precious." I know exactly where she is. Coming out in the garden, we find my wife watering her flowers.
