Donnie opened his eyes slowly, feeling pain on his wrist and ankles.

Donnie tried to open his mouth but something was keeping it shut.

"BRING DONNIE BACK TAKASHI!"

Donnie tried to say it was him, but couldn't.

I'll try to change back, to show them it's me.

Donnie closed his eyes and tried to change back, but nothing happened.

No! It isn't starting know! COME ON!

"April, do you think Donnie's back."

"Why?"

"Because Takashi stopped fighting."

Then the chains loosened, letting blood flow through to his hands and feet, his snout was having air flew through easier.

Donnie could feel himself touching the ground gentle.

Finally the cold chains were gone.

"Donnie, is that you?"

A tear feel off his cheek.

"It's me."

Donnie felt a soft touch on his head, but he kept his eyes shut, afraid that Takashi would come back if he opened his eyes.

"Get up Donnie."

Why was the dream fake? Why did I sleep? This is all my fault. They should have killed me when they had the chance.

Donnie didn't move, just laid on the cold, hard floor, feeling his wings, his tail and, his teeth.

I'm no longer Donnie.

"Donnie answer me please."

Donnie felt a small liquid fall on his face.

I'm sorry for what I did to you.

"April, what's going on?"

Then Donnie felt a cold shaky hand rap around his.

More small liquids feel on his face.

"Donnie get up!"

That was when Donnie heard many foot steps coming in his direction. When the arrived, their warmth filled the air around Donnie.

"GET UP!"

I'll get up.

Donnie stood up slowly, feeling the warmth around him leaving, the shaky hand dissapearing, but Donnie kept his eyes closed.

What was that song again? Was it called 'Let Her Go,' by Passenger. It was.

"Donnie?"

The voice sound scared and helpless.

'Well you only need the light when it's burning low

"Donnie?"

Donnie opened his eyes.

"And you let her go."

Donnie ran for the exit, but his brothers didn't stop him, but April ran after him.

"Donnie no!"

But Donnie dissapeared in the darkness, leaving everything. His only family, his only friends, his only real love.
