Hermione's P.O.V.
After the gods were done with the council, Percy caught me. "Hey, Hermione, right?" I nodded. "That's me." We both stepped into the elevator.
"I just wanted to thank you and your friends for helping. We probably couldn't have won with out you guys." I smiled slightly.
The elevator was silent except for the dumb elevator music. (Was that Neil Diamond?) The elevator dinged open and we were in the lobby of the Empire State Building.
A man and woman were arguing with a security guard. "Percy!" the woman said, wrapping her arms around him. I then realized how much I missed my own mum.
I slowly walked out of the Empire State Building and leaned against the crumbly walls. The I found it. Sierra's wand. It was a different from the one she had had last year.
It was 13 1/2 inches and an eery black. I smiled. This one seemed much more her style. I shoved it into my boot, along with mine. Harry and Ron came down first.
"Mione! You're alright!" Harry said, giving me a hug. "Have seen the twins or Ginny?" I asked. "I saw Ginny inside.
I think Fred , George and the Stoll brothers are doing something to do with pranks," Ron said. "Where's Sierra?" I gulped. "She's, um-" Right then, Ginny came out of the hotel.
"Hey guys. Have any of you lot seen Sierra?" she saw the look on my face. "No. No. No. No! Where is she?" Ginny asked. "At Camp Half-Blood."
"Well, Come on! We have to go get her!" Annabeth came out of the hotel. "Okay, you're brothers and the Stolls are not a good combo," she said. "What'd they do?" Ginny asked.
"They set Apollo on fire." My heart stopped. "Don't worry, Apollo made a dumb remark about 'See? I'm so hot, I'm on fire.'" I snorted.
"I'm just glad he didn't start reciting limericks or a haiku about it," Annabeth said. "He does that?" She nodded. "He is the god of poetry." I let out a short laugh.
"You wanna go to camp, don't you?" she asked suddenly. I nodded. Ron and Harry decided to stay, in case Fred and George came out. We hailed a taxi and rode off toward Long Island. It took a few minutes and Annabeth stopped him at the bottom of a hill.
"But there isn't anything here, miss," the cabdriver said. "It's fine. Here ya go," she said, handing him a roll of American muggle money. We climbed out and waited until the taxi was out of sight.
We followed Annabeth up the hill. "HalfBlood Hill. The place all demigods used to cross to start training." She blew a piece of her curly blonde hair off her forehead.
I felt somewhat bad for her. Being a blonde Athena child. What a sick joke.
We reached a tree with a huge dragon around it. Annabeth smiled. "Hey, Peleus," she said, scratching the dragon under the chin.
"You okay, boy?" Annabeth asked. He let out a little puff of smoke. The valley below was beautiful green, not reflecting the war at all.
A strawberry field spread out to one side and a set of cabins making a greek omega(?). I saw a volleyball court, a climbing wall that spewed lava just as Sierra had said.
"It's beautiful," I murmured. Ginny looked like she was trying to take it all in. Annabeth smiled. "Our safe corner of the world. Soon, it'll be completely full, that is, if the gods don't forget their promise."
Several satyr came out of the woods, carrying something between them. I slipped down the hill for a closer look. I gasped. Between them lied a dead centaur.
