"Sorry, I'm late! I was recruiting some friends. Anyone have a problem with that?" No one said anything. "Good. Now, dismissed!" I said.
"Not you,"I said to the wizards. "Come on. I want to introduce you to someone. " I walked over to Percy. I smiled. "Hey, Perce," I said. "Hey." I rolled my eyes. "Really? Get over here," I said. I hugged him. "Now that's better. You'd expect someone to miss you after a year," I said, pretending to be annoyed. I looked at him.His face was red.
"You did not!" I gasped. "I can't believe you!" He looked confused. "Wha-" he started to say. "You gave up on me!" His cheeks reddened.
"Well, I think these guys need someone to help them around," Percy muttered. "And I already have perfect matches. Yo! Travis! Connor!" I shouted at them. They came running. "Yeah?" Travis asked. "I need you to help Fred and George. They are master prankers. Fred and George, Travis and Conner are Sons of Hermes. Also master pranksters." All four of them had the mischievous grins. They walked off.
"Annabeth!" I said to her as she walked past. "Yes?" "Can you show Hermione around? You both are geniuses on a ton of stuff," I said. " Like?" I sighed in irritation. "Architecture. Tell her about Hogwarts castle architecture," I said. Annabeth's eyes lit up. Then she rolled her eyes at me. She didn't exactly like me much.
"Fine," she said walking off with Hermione. "And Ron. Hm. How about.... Uhm.... What so you think Percy?" I asked, turning to Percy. "Umm... How about Jack?" he asked. Jack Brant was a clumsy son of Apollo. "Sure. Hey! Jack!" I said, turning around. He jumped. He looked around. "Me?" He mouthed. I nodded. He came up. "Y-yes, Sierra?" he asked. He's had a crush on me for a while. "Will you show my friend Ron around?" I asked sweetly. "Anything for you, I mean, yeah, sure, whatever," he said, trying to play it off. "Thank you." They walked off.
"Ginny, you're with me." We started to walk away. "Wait! What about me?" Harry shouted.
"Isn't it obvious? You're with Percy."
Percy P.O.V.
I have to admit, when Sierra came bursting through the crowd, I was surprised. A lot of us had given up on her. She dismissed the crowd and turned to me.
"Hey, Perce," she said. "Hey," I said my face reddening. "Really? Get over here!" I walked over and she gave me a hug. "Now, that's better. You'd think someone would miss you after a year."
My face reddened even more. She gasped. "You did not!" she shouted. "I can't believe you!"I was confused. "Wha-"I started to say. "You gave up on me!" I lowered my head.
"Well, I think these guys need someone to help them around," I muttered, trying to change the subject. "And I already have the perfect matches." She matched everyone up except the boy with the scar. "Wait! What about me?" he asked. "Isn't it obvious? You're with Percy," Sierra said.
She walked off with the girl, Ginny, and left me with the boy. We stood there in awkward silence for a while.
"So..." I said, breaking the silence. "So...." I sighed. "Did she tell you why we're together?" he asked. I shook my head. "Well...... I'm supposed to decide the downfall or rise of Olympus. What about you?" I said.
"Well, I'm supposed to defeat the darkest wizard of all time," he said. "Is that where you got the scar?" "Well......." He explained it all.
We got into a long discussion on how we both have to defeat some powerful evil.
