Vaeludar hurried along his way. He felt the life force of Marina being drained from her, and he was not a healer. Healing is a power that dragons lacked, but he didn't know if Belverda had healing magic. He might have known if he himself had the power. There were many stories telling a plague striking humanity, and his parents were the ones who cured it, likely without magic.

And knowledge of their current whereabouts was nothing. No one knew where they were, but he has given up they are alive. With the pressure of only nine days left before a fearsome battle, Vaeludar needed every soldier ready and united. Unfortunately, King Uragiru lacks eagerness for a foreigner for aid.

Of his orders, Marina has undergone what people call a "Trial of Absolute Monstrosity." Something he was put through and made it out alive, and Marina just barely by many objects thrown at her. A state of being where a "commentator" shouts to a crowd and touts a "suspect" of being a monster.

Practically, it was used to label someone who has human looking like a human. Someone entirely different judged by a disregarded appearance. Someone as Vaeludar was. Half human and half dragon reminded him of a "monster" he was walking upon full-embodied humans, and he was always judged upon of a half monster he looked. Someone called him out for being a monster, and in no time, a crowd swung around him and taunted him with vague insults.

Vaeludar knew what was going on for a few minutes as he was nearly swarmed like packed of bees in a hive. His wings mounted away and flew away from them. Since the day, he kept his best to stay away from human society, and the time the fake trial happened, Geraldus was elsewhere. An easy prey one would think, but Vaeludar was already smart enough to evade the crowd.

Vaeludar never discovered the person who accused him being a monster, and it was a day he never did anything barbaric such as killing a human without reason or naming himself an emperor. He was seen as only something than someone.

The same happened to Marina, and thanks to him, he rescued Marina from being suffering a total humiliation of a larger crowd. Now, he chosen to retreat to the village he first exited to find what he was looking for. Since elves are still there, and they can surely save the siren.

Two hours he spent flying back to the village where the dwellers still dwelled, and his thought the elf, Alfhild, he saw speaking with a few elves. They all appeared as twins, but the difference was the colors of the hair. Each represented the personality of an elf. Golden hair for the purest and oldest, red for a very aggressive elf but still kind, and brown and black hair were somewhat the patient type, and Alfhild appeared the eldest of them all.

Vaeludar landed to get the elves' attention. There was small earthquake of his landing and a meaningful one. Elves are trained magicians, and it is they can hear the cries of many agonized people, even in vibrations in the earth.

His thumbing landing caught their attention rather quickly, and he stomped the ground again. A large stone emerged from the ground shaped like a table. Then he laid Marina on the stone table.

"This siren needs healing right now!" Vaeludar ordered.

At once, Alfhild dashed to him. She raised her hand and chanted, "Ton axiótimon progónon mou, dóse mou dýnami na giatrépso aftón ton thnitó."

A green sphere stretched from her hand's palm, and her eyes lit emerald. Her hair razed against the shoulders if a hard wind gushed her face, and the power at her hand's palm swirled in the air like a tornado of water.

The power touched down on the siren's forehead, and the redness of the dried blood glowed. Streams like little rivers flowed across the siren's body where the blood dried. Her breathing stopped only for a moment and resumed. Her flashy wounds healed in a matter of seconds, and Alfhild removed her hand.
