Prince Vox was just sitting on his throne, sighing at nothing to do. All he did was a study with his private teacher. The man taught him everything about ruling and his duties as well as the way to make people listen to him. He was tired of it so he decided to take a stroll outside. As he was taking a stroll outside he decided to go to the beach. Vox sneaked to the beach and he saw a long fish tail.
Vox was curious, it didn't look like a fishtail it looked like a merman tail. As Vox took a closer view he saw a merman sitting on the stone singing a song. Vox loved the melody of the merman's voice. It was calming to listen to and watch. He wanted to talk to the merman but he couldn't. So he went back home. That night he dreamed of the merman that had a purple tail, he looked so attracted to him. He couldn't stop thinking about him.
After the dream, he got up and wore a cloak. After looking for hours he found one that had purple scales. When he finally got close enough to see it better he noticed the scales that were covering it. The boy had a shell necklace, he had a flower on his hair, and he had a majestic tail. When the merman saw him he stopped singing. His voice was beautiful though, he wanted to listen to more of his song.
The merman came near, "Greetings, I am Prince Vox." Vox bowed as a greeting. The merman went away quickly and Vox sighed wanting a chance to talk to the merman. Shoto was blushing red and covering his face. His heart felt so heavy when he heard the name "Vox". Shoto never thought this would happen to him. "Am I in love." Shoto blushed as made love bubbles. Shoto swooshed the bubbles away denying he was in love with a prince.
One day Vox wanted to see the merman in close view and he decided to sail in the ocean. As Vox was sailing in the ocean, Shoto was peeking behind the rock and he fell in love as he saw him. Shoto was desperate to meet him but his father wouldn't allow him to talk to strangers.
Shoto had an idea that if they met he could get in contact with him. He turned to his human form he had a top with brown pants, including him his necklace. He planned to learn how to walk first to meet the prince. Vox ended up going back to his castle as he saw a boy on the sand looking familiar. Shoto was invited to a ball so he needed to be dressed by a tailor. Shoto visited a tailor shop and he was dressed by wearing a train on the back and a suit.
He made sure that he got into the city and then he went to the royal palace. Once he entered the palace he went directly to the ballroom. Before he could enter someone caught his eye. Standing there was Prince Vox. Shoto bowed at the prince and Vox could realize how familiar he was compared to the merman. Vox came up to the boy with purple hair.
"My name is Shoto, your highness." Shoto bowed at the prince covering his blush. "Nice to meet you, Shoto." Vox smiled holding Shoto's hand. Shoto loved it when he talked with the prince, Shoto and Vox had become close friends that day. Shoto would talk about his first time around the village and Vox would tell about his royal life. "What do you do in life, Shoto?" Vox looked into Shoto's eyes. "Uhm. Well, I am a fisherman around the sea and I would always catch fish." Shoto lied. "Interesting." Vox smiled.
Vox would show Shoto around the village and they would hang out with each other a lot. Vox started having feelings for Shoto and he realized he fell in love with Shoto. They would be friends for three years and Shoto decided during their anniversary he will show Vox his true self. Shoto bought Vox for the beach.
"Yes, Shoto?" Vox smiled. "I wanted to show your something for a long time, Vox." Shoto blushed nervously. "What is it?" Vox smiled. Shoto went to the ocean to show Vox his other form. Vox blushed, "You're the merman I found?" Vox was shocked. "Yes, I was." Shoto smiled at Vox. "Well, I wanted to tell you that I loved you ever since I met you and found you." Vox blushed. "I love you too." Shoto kissed Vox.
Vox kissed Shoto back holding onto him. The two became an official couple and Vox was crowned king after his father died. Shoto and Vox would date in restaurants, forests, stargazing, swimming, and picnic dates together.
