Shoto was one of sons of king Kaito who ruled the land of 'The Ethereal Ocean'. His siblings Aster, Uki, Enna, Finana, Bao, and Reimu were Shotos oldest siblings. Shoto's mother died from childbirth. It was a tragedy that hit them hard. His father wasn't there to comfort his older brothers and sisters when they needed him most.
He would have been able to handle it better but King Kaito was a strong leader, who knew best what to do in a critical situation. When he found out the news about mother's passing, he had to fight against the grief and sadness for their sake. It wasn't easy. It was the day of his father's birthday.
Shoto's siblings went to change to get ready. Every year on his birthday, they would sing their melodies in a performance together. As they were trying to look got the siblings, Kaito was with rage. "Shoto!!" He yelled. "Sir I can try looking for him." Kyo said. "Find him!" He yelled. Merman guards and Kyo started their search around the ocean to find Shoto.
Shoto would always skip his performances because he wasn't only interested in singing but instead he wanted to explore the ocean more finding more treasures. He was a very intelligent child. He loved learning new things, just like his mother. His siblings didn't know why, he would always run away during their performances. Shoto would always visit his friend Mysta, who appears to be a talking bird. He would always give him beautiful treasures for free and show him how they are used. "Thank you Mysta! I will be going now!" Shoto swam away with his fish Minase.
Vox's pov
After a long day of doing prince duties, I took a walk on the beach. The breeze was lovely outside as always. The sunset was also beautiful as well. As I was looking at the shell, I saw a beautiful shell on the sand. Until I heard a splash on the ocean, I looked towards it again but the shell was gone.
Vox looked at the shell again and he saw purple scales. "It's a mermaid?" Vox thought. It had a purple fin tail with yellow jewelry's on it. The tail was curved upwards showing how graceful it can be. Its fins were purple and gold. 'Oh my god, is this a real mermaid?'
Shoto's pov
Shoto swam behind a rock and he peeked to see who it was. It revealed to be a charming boy on the sand. "Wow. What a handsome human. Maybe if i approach it..." Shoto said. "Wait.. No what am I thinking! Father said never interact with humans!" Shoto thought then decided to leave the boy alone. There is no need for me to bother the creature.
The next day, Shoto went to see the man again. But this time, he's with binoculars. Shoto sighed and swam up to the human. Shoto poked up his head to see the unknown person. "Who are you?" Vox said. "My name is Shoto. Aren't you a mermaid and who are you?" Shoto asked. "A mermaid? You silly merman. I'm Vox Akuma and I'm a human." Vox said.
"Sorry I think I should be going now, Vox." Shoto swam away. As Vox was about to say a word but merman swam away from the waves. Shoto was red that he actually talked to a human and he looks so handsome. Shoto went to his family to have dinner. We chatted, make jokes, and talked about everything.
At 10 pm, everyone was asleep. Shoto decided to sneak with his bag and go to the cave where he keeps all his treasures. Shoto came with his fish, Minase. Shoto began to hum a melody and putting a lot of his treasures organized. Minase enjoyed Shoto's melodies until he heared a ship above. Shoto went up to see what is happening.
It was boat with Vox, another man, and sailors. Shoto climbed the ropes and peeked to see him hanging out with everyone. Mysta flew to Shoto and Kyo. "What the hell are you doing here?! Your father will kill you!" Kyo said but Shoto covered his mouth. "Shh, they will hear you!" Shoto pouted.
