"So Aaliyah I'm very sure Virgil must have told you about everything yes?" Bernard Arnault CEO of LVMH family asked me.

"Yes sir"

Bernard nods, "you know I've gone through your portfolio and I miss say I'm deeply impressed, it's a big shame Virgil had to leave so soon" he shook his head.

I was very familiar with Bernard but I knew the owner, I didn't have to deal with him as Virgil did that only when it was very important.

"Anyway have you thought of everything?"

"Yes sir I have"

"And I'll do it, I already Virgil I'll work from London but I'll be America when it's urgent and I'll also come from time to time to inspect and all" I told him. Bernard nods clearly pleased, "That's wonderful Aaliyah, Virgil would be so proud. But you are away of the spring collections?"

"Virgil was working on that before he died" Virgil told me few times about the new collection.

Bernard nods, "yes he was, he also tells me that he left some things with Kanye West, you know him? Owner of Yeezy?"

I nod my head.

"So I'll want you to work on it, it's going to be his last collection and I want you to headline it, I'm telling you now so you'll have it at the back of your and after new year you'll be announced as the new successor and director of OFF-WHITE"

My heart tightens, "So soon?"

Bernard lean on the table, "We all love Virgil Aaliyah but life goes on I'm sure Virgil would want you to go straight into work right?"

"Yes" Virgil would never let me slack on any job even if I was tired. Bernard nods, "So you see my dear Why we must continue?" He push a black clipboard to me, "everything you need to know is in that book, so read it all and understand okay? I smile at him, believe me since I've been in this brand the only nice thing Bernard has said to me was Wonderful now to hear him again these really made me happy and proud.
