"Are you ready?"

I slowly turn to Ayo seated on the driver's side, a small smile on his face.

I nod. "Yes."

"Okay" Ayo ignites the engine and the car roars to life. I stare outside the window watching the rows of designer stores pass by.

After the last therapy session which was on Tuesday, I unblocked his number and we were gradually texting.

"Aaliyah?"

"Huh?"

"I said how have you been?" Ayo ask.

"Oh" I cleared my throat, "Um I've been good." It was true, after the therapy session where I finally said everything that I've been keeping inside me I was feeling better. I was no longer harboring hate towards Ayo.

"That's great, how's Amaya?"

"She's good, I spoke to her on FaceTime today" I told him. When I returned for the court case, I didn't bring Amaya with me because I was unsure of the outcome and the last thing I wanted was for her to get caught in between.

Ayo nods his head. "That's good." I could tell that he misses her. I don't blame him though, I mean I would miss Amaya if she was away for a month. The car became quiet, I won't lie I missed those days when we always spoke of everything, normally by now my mouth would've been running as I would've told Ayo all about Drake but we were still hesitant with each hence the awkward small talk.

I cleared my throat again, "So what's the plan on the house? Did you get an agent or are we just searching by ourselves?"

"I found an agent, we're going to meeting her" Ayo said as he revived the car into another lane, after driving for another twenty minutes we arrive at a gated community. I admired the luxurious top notch mansions that lined the road. The landscape of each house had different designs with different gardens in front.

Ayo drove down the street then drove in through a black gate, I admire the neatly decorated lawns with rows of fresh roses. A large water fountain stood in front. Ayo pulls the car into a halt before he turns to me.

"Come on."

I grab my handbag and step out of the car. The black marble stones decorate the driveway made squeaking sounds underneath my shoes and I wished I wasn't wearing a six inch louboutin.

While Ayo walked ahead I seize the opportunity to admire the surroundings. The three storey mansion had a driveway was spacious, two cars could drive out or in at the same time, there was also a tiled walkway leading to the lawn with white shiny gravels. I looked up to see Ayo and a woman dressed in black suit talking. I walk towards them in time to hear Ayo say.

"This is my wife Aaliyah Balogun" Ayo turns to me, "Wifey this is Rona she's the real estate agent."

Rona stretches her hand out to me, a large smile plastered on her face, "Hello, pleasure to meet you."

I shook the hand an equally large smile on mine. "Same."

"Come I'll give you a tour of the mansion" Rona say. She turns to the large glass marble grand door and pushed it open. Walking in was like stepping into paradise! It was spacious, large and perfect!!
