OFF-WHITE FIRST SHOWCASE
"Oh my god!! I'm going to be so late!" I panicked staring at my diamond wristwatch in shock. What was I thinking? I should have woken up early, no I actually woke up early only I was so busy preparing I actually forgot the time and this damn traffic!!
"Can you go any faster?" I ask my personal driver Tom. "I'm trying to ma but the traffic" Tom answers honking furiously at the car in front of there's.
I sigh running my hand though my sleek hairdo not minding it took hours to make. I was launching the new line for OFF-WHITE, The first show since Virgil passing and since I became the new CEO and I was late!! No one must hear of it. I silently wished I could just disappear and appear at Le Mans museum where the show was happening.
"Oh God please" I closed my eyes and prayed like my mother thought me to whenever I was in a problem like this. After few minutes the traffic moved and they were at Le Mans.
Tom parked the car backstage as people rushed over as I jumped down.
"Oh my god Aaliyah! What took so long?!" Sean rushed to me, he looked really pretty in the new design.
I gave my handbag to Tessa, "I swear it was traffic! Has the show started?"I ask matching inside the building to be greeted by models,makeup artist,designers all talking at the same time.
"Not yet but if we don't start in five minutes then they'll start complaining" Sean announced.
"I get it Sean, who's doing the first walk?"I ask collecting the tab he held.
"Kendall Jenner" Sean motion me to where Kendall stood.
"Hi! I'm so sorry for delaying" I apologized to world famous model Kendall Jenner, it was a miracle she agreed to do the first walk under short notice!
Kendall smiles and hug me. "Oh it's fine Aaliyah, We're starting now yeah?"
"Of course, go do your thing girl!" I smile at her, she smiles back then walk away while I followed Sean to where other models were to get them ready.
Sean and I stood on one side and watched as she opened the show wearing the new design Sean and I specially created months back, after she walked back in, the remaining models walk out.
Into the walks I started crying. Sean rolled his eyes at me calling me a cry baby but I didn't care! I was proud and excited!
After about fifty looks was modeled it was time for the designers to showcase. Sean and few makeup artist retouch my look then escorted me to the entrance where Kendall was waiting.
I stop and turn to Sean. "We're going out together."
"What? No you're the designer!"
"Yet I wouldn't have done it without you!" I told him, truly if it wasn't for Sean the designs wouldn't be ready. I was always distract and depressed. As much as I was trying to act strong I was not, I was missing London!
Sean smile and grab my hands. "Thank you Aaliyah."
"Of course you would do the same for me" I gave him a light squeeze. Sean and I embrace them we faced Kendall waiting for us.
