Child Hunt

“ Simon I'm going now” Simon nodded at me as i took the bag and put it on my shoulder, today is my turn on selling the carved things that i made. The sun are not even up but i decided to leave early and find some flowers in the forest that i can add on the things that i need to sell. Kagura are still sleeping when i left and Simon always woke up early as he got used to it too, just like me.

Walking inside the forest and to the clearing, the soft wind brushes on the flowers moving it from side to side. A smile form on my lips as i began to pick some of them and tied it together in a bouquet but leave something just incase some people only wanted a single flower. When I'm done collecting the flowers the sun are just starting to set up, sitting down on the smooth grass i watch the sunrise as well as the birds who's flying freely in the sky. How amazing it would be to become like them, no problems to think and free to do anything or go to the places they wanted to go. Sighing a little i stood up from the ground dusting off the grass on my pants before taking the flowers with me and to the street.

My entire day was filled with me calling for some buyers and offering them the things that I'm selling, some of the people who buys the flowers are the older people who likes to put it on a vase. There are a few more customers as some of them must be a visitor or something as that's the first time that i saw them. Looking at the small bag, a smile formed on my lips as i managed to sell almost all of them. I look around and saw some kids around my age or younger playing in the streets it's kinda fun watching them fooling around and it makes me remember the two, Simon and Kagura who's back in the house. I wonder what they did the whole day, the sunset are now starting to disappear and I let out a sigh as i felt tired for the day, maybe i could just sleep when i get back.

Taking everything back in the small bag and making sure that nothing was left behind, i slung it on my shoulder before starts walking on the street. The walk to the Rosemary village seems it's taking forever as i felt more tired from walking, i let out a yawn just before a sudden scream caught my attention. My head turn to the side as some dark smoke are flying in the air, it was also followed by more screaming and shouting. The tiredness that i felt vanished as my heart are pounding taking the sight of the Rosemary Village that is now filled with fire as the houses are burning.

My eyes widen as i remember Simon and Kagura who's left in the house, i throw the bag away and  run on the direction where the house is only to be met with it also coated in fire burning it to the ground.

“ No..” what's happening? Who did this? My eyes stared at it in horror and shocked while my thoughts are running wild until something caught my attention, someone's voice calling for someone. I followed where it is coming from and there, in the middle of the streets stood Kagura.

“ Onichan.. where are you?” she was looking from left and right as the fire are spreading everywhere. I quickly run to her direction with sweat forming on my face from the heat that's coming from the fire.

“ Kagura!”

“ Arin?” the girl turn around as her eyes are filled with tears,  taking a hold of her i hugged her tightly close to me as I'm glad that she's safe but my eyes didn't found Simon.

“ Kagura where's Simon?” i asked as soon as i let go of her, she shooked her head telling me that she doesn't know. Worry began to fill me but just before we can go and search for him, someone takes a hold of my forearm causing me to look back.

“ They'll find you both if you stood here!” Erza said as she drag me away while I'm holding Kagura's hand in mine. She was barefooted while dragging us to somewhere more secluded as we also found a small box there.

“ What's happening?! Who will find us?! We need to look for Simon!” I said as Erza opened the box before looking at me.

“ I don't know too but there's people taking the kids and killing the adults for whatever reason, quick you both hide here!” she said just before we heard some voices behind the wall that probably heard us talking. I helped Kagura get inside the box and noticed that it's too small and there's a little space but not enough to fit someone, Erza must have noticed it too as she glance at me.
