Slaves

I felt sick, my stomach are aching from the food last night that they gave to us, i don't know what kind of food is that. At first glance it looks like a porridge but if you look at it closely it's not and also it taste awful that's why it's hurting my stomach. I was put on the other floor different from the other day as those men ordered us to put the stones to the side, my pace was slow as my stomach keeps hurting and there is some sweat on my forehead.

“ AHHH!!” i scream in pain as something ran through my body like an electricity, it lasted for a few more seconds before it disappeared and i fell on the floor panting hard as i can feel my body shaking from it.

“ Stop being slow and move quickly!” the man yelled at me before i felt something hit my back causing for me to yell from the pain on my back. Some tears fell upon my eyes as i tried to get up slowly until i get on my feet and pick up the stones that i dropped and put it on the wall. With my body that's still shaking a bit, i get back to work as i ignore the pain that I'm feeling and tried to not think of it.

I continue to do it over and over again as i would walked on the other side and took the stones that's laying on the ground and put it on the other side. Someone with a paw and ears of a cat seems to be having quite a hard time picking up the stones as it's a little bit bigger and heavier than the others, thinking that she needs some help i walked to her direction as her cat ears moves a bit.

“ Here.. let me carry that one” i told her as the cat girl moves away to give me some space, i picked it up as the girl pick the small ones and followed me.

“ What's your name?” she asked as i put down the stone before i release a sigh, i turn around to look at her as the cat girl are also looking at me. “ My name's Arin.. how about you?” the girl smiles at me as her eyes seemed to disappear while she's smiling.

“ I'm Milliana and thank you for helping me there” she said still smiling at me, i can't help the smile that formed in my face as i found it cute with her ears moving and also it made me remember Kagura. Her smile are also innocent and this girl, i can tell that she's younger than me probably the same age as Kagura.

“ It's nothing.. though is this real?” i asked her referring to her cat ears, holding it a little. “ Yes it is and I was born with it and the others told me i look like a cat” she said as i pats her head, suddenly there was a purring sound as i blink at her in shocked. She was purring like a cat! I chuckled a bit hearing it and seeing that she's enjoying it based on the smile that's on her face.

“ Come on Milliana, let's get back to work before they notice us slacking off” i said as i turn away from her and walk ahead to the stones. Milliana followed me as we both work started to move, the girl are telling me some things about her past when she states that i am now her friend. I smile at the girl as i also share something about me and told her about Simon and Kagura though she was shocked upon knowing that i knew Simon as she told me that she had met him at the cell she was in. I'm also surprised at it, seems like the world is making some way for me to meet Simon's friends.

As the day continue both Milliana and i talked about some things, she was fun to be with as Milliana is an energetic kid. She keeps on talking and talking about some random things as i would just laugh at her when she did some funny expression on her face. The entire day we're both together until those men leads us to our own cell, Milliana bid me some goodbye before we parted ways as i wave at her and walk on the upper cells.

My life as a slave continue, there was a time that i would get electrocuted for being slow or if i did something that they didn't like. Like when i help another kid who's younger than me pulling the cart that is full of stones as the adult that's assigned to it died the other day, those men didn't like it and i got punished that time in the torture room. I received 50 lashes on my back as they also zapped me after that while telling me to don't do it again which i just answer with a nod as i felt weak that time and they also didn't give me some food and just a glass filled water as for my punishment though I'm quite relieved that they give me some water as it is enough for me to get my hunger filled by it.
