Mission Part 2

We are now inside of the mayor's office. Upon arriving at the town, we noticed how there is a little amount of people outside of their houses. Most of them are hiding and just looked at us from their windows. It's too quiet for my likings, although i like it that way. The reason for the quietness are not something that i want for them to have.

Erza has been talking to the old man for a few minutes now. Me and Natsu stood at the back, bored from the talk that's happening in front of us. Lucy and Gray are with her listening to the information the mayor has been providing them.

“ Man.. why are they taking so long?” Natsu huffs slightly. He was frowning while looking outside the window with a small pout on his face.

Well i can't blame him, they are really taking so long just talking over there. Sigh. I put my sword on my left hand. I can feel my hands sweating a little on how long i was holding it. And finally, they finished talking to the old man. They are now walking in our direction with Lucy and Gray following behind her.

“ So?” i started as i look at them. “ What's he said?” i continue. Erza let out a sigh before she walk past me. I followed behind her until we reach outside.

“ He said that the monster only came to town when it's midnight, and so is the bandits” she said while taking the rope of her cart.

“ So that means we are going to wait that long for them to come here?” i asked and i can see her nodding her head.

“ If that is the case then.. You three are the ones that will took care of the monster” i said as she suddenly stops from walking and turn to look at me. “ ..while me and Lucy will took care of those bandits since i think they both will come at the same time”

She was thinking about what i said, we just waited for her decision. Not after a minute and she agreed with me while Natsu and Gray have a grin on their faces. We check in on some nearby Inn and put our things in our room. We only rented one room. It was large and has five beds inside it. I put my things down on of the bed and a sigh escape from me. It was only three in the afternoon and there is no other thing to do. I sigh again before flopping myself on my bed.

“ What are we gonna do? We still have few hours before it gets dark” i said to them.

No one had really say anything. Erza walks closer to the window, while Lucy are reading a book. Gray and Natsu.. Huh? where did they go? A frown formed on my face. I didn't notice it.. when did they left the room? I turn to look at Erza and she was still looking outside while crossing her arms on her chest. I sigh deeply before letting myself fall on the bed. I can see Lucy on my peripheral vision, turning her head towards me before looking back at her book. I close my eyes, wanting to let the time pass without waiting for it but my eyelids become more heavy when the minutes passes by until i fell asleep.

“ Arin? You need to get up now”

Someone's voice made me stirr from my deep slumber. My mind are trying to process on who's voice it is until it clicks suddenly. It was Erza's. I open my eyes and found the ceiling also staring back at me. My gaze fell on the side and towards the window where Erza had stood upon earlier.

I let out a yawn before sitting up and stretch a bit.

The door on the other end clicks open before Lucy walk out of it. She was now dressed in a white sleeveless shirt and a blue skirt shorter than Erza's. While Erza... Well as usual with her armour. Sigh. I get off the bed and took my bag, picking up some comfortable clothes for tonight as there will be a fight happening. After a few minutes of getting prepared, i go outside the bathroom and found everyone inside. They are sitting together and i take the empty spot bedside Lucy. She smiles at me and i return it with the same kind of soft smile she was always giving me.
