Parting ways

I inhaled deeply as i found myself standing outside, on the seaside near the forest. My fingers runs on the edge of the necklace upon my neck. I did some grave for Simon at the forest. It's the least that i can do considering that i didn't get the chance to take his body with me. My thoughts bring me back from what he said to me... Find her..

I let out a sigh as the wind brushes against my skin. There is some footsteps coming near me but i didn't turn to see who is it.

“ Arin...” Milliana's voice spoke from behind and i turn to look at her. There is a look of sadness on her face. I guess Erza had already told them what happened at the tower.

She walk up to me and hugs my form, burying her face at the crook of my neck as the sounds of sobs filled my ears. It must be hard on her too, after all Simon is like a brother to her, to everyone.

“ I can't believe he's gone..” she said while sniffling. I didn't say anything and just rub her back, comforting her. Neither do i...

We both stood there for some time until the sun starts to set and the sky turned darker. Milliana looks up to me.

“ What will you do now that we're out of the tower?” she asked me and Simon's voice came to my thoughts. She must have notice the silence as turned away from me.

“ You're going to look for her, aren't you?” she asked.

“ Yeah..” i answered. The cold wind blew past us, making my hair dance in the wind.

“ Me and the others are planning to leave tonight...” she said suddenly and i look at her in surprise. “ and I'm guessing that you won't be coming with us” she continues but i didn't say anything. She was right though. I look down at the sand before i felt her hand on my shoulder.

“ You'll find her soon, i know it” she said smiling at me as her tail dance behind her. I smile back at her before taking her for a hug. I'm going to miss her and everyone.

We stayed there for a few ours until it's time for them to leave. We both walk back at the hotel and met up with the others that's already outside while Wally and Sho are setting up the boat. Erza and her friends are there too along with the blue exceed. I can't still believe that cats can fly but then.. what you expect to the world where magic is everything?

“ You be careful out there, you hear me?” i said to Milliana as the cat girl giggles at me.

“ I am. Sometimes you act like a mom but other times you're like a small child” she said back and i let out a scoff which she laughs at. Erza are having a conversation at the boys and i stared at them.

We were just like this before, back when we were kids. Us making a conversation about some silly things with Simon and Jellal still with us. The memories of them played on my mind that i didn't notice Milliana walking up in front of me.

“ You're crying... This is what i meant when i said that sometimes your a child. You're still a cry baby Arinie~” the girl teases me while wiping the tears from my cheeks and i slap her shoulder in return. The girl laughs at me before she turned serious while looking at me.

“ Be careful out there Arin.. We won't be there for you for a while and i need you to promise me that you will take care of yourself” she said seriously. It was rare for her to become serious like this and i can tell that there is some hint of worry on her voice. A small grin form on my face as she squinted her eyes at me.

“ You know you act like a mother kitty sometimes Mill” i said and she gives me a punch on my arms before crossing it on her chest and look away pouting a little.
