I tapped my feet in front of me, my eyes trained on the tip of my toes as I tried to tap some sort of tune. Sapnap spun around in the stool beside me, the rusting metal squeaking every time he spun past. Amelia stood beside her mom, her eyes switching between her mom and my mom, depending on who was talking. George stood beside the kitchen door, his phone in his hand as he blocked the rest of us out.Is it weird to say I don't want him to leave? I mean, he actually seems pretty cool and I need some more friends so why not? "I guess we better get going!" Amelia's mom sighed, a hand being placed on her daughter's shoulder as she fished out her car keys from her coat pocket.
"Could George stay the night?" I blurted. The words left my mouth before I could even process them and by then I had everyone's eyes on me, even Sapnap had paused his little spinning session to look at me. "Not tonight, I'm afraid. George has plans for tomorrow and needs to be out early." His mom frowned a fake pout. "Maybe another night." She offered.
"I don't have plans?" George questions, tucking his phone into his pocket. One perk of never lying, I guess. His mom's smile dropped into an unimpressed look and she turned to George to show it off. He stared back, unfazed. "Are you sure?" She asked, hinting at the boy. "I'm positive. I think I'd know if I had plans." He scoffed.
Amelia snickered and their mom sighed in defeat. "That's okay with me." My mom smiled. "It's probably better for them to have some sort of role model there anyway." She joked. It wasn't funny.
"Okay." She agreed, nodding. "But there'll be no staying up late, or drinking." She pointed at George accusingly. My mom laughed and placed a hand on his shoulder. Why does everyone do that? "Don't worry, Sarah! I'll keep an eye on them." She assured. George's mom chewed her lip nervously before sucking her teeth and waving her hand.
"Alright." She smiled, letting out a deep breath. "One night." She mumbled, turning to look at George. "I'll be over to pick you up at midday tomorrow, okay?" She asked. George nodded. "Sure." He smiled slightly, his eyes shifting over to me and Sapnap. She turned back to Amelia, who seemed slightly offended that her brother could stay the night and she couldn't.
"Are you ready?" Amelia nodded and finally, they left. My mom waved them goodbye from the door and by time she had turned back around, George, Sap and I were already reaching the top of the stairs.
"I was not expecting that!" Sapnap scoffed, lifting his leg to step onto the top stair. George laughed. "I have no idea what she meant when she said I have plans. You two are literally the only people I've talked to apart from this one old lady that stood in my way."
"I think she was making an excuse." I chuckled, opening my bedroom door. George went silent for a moment, pausing at the space in front of me. Sapnap pushed past him and into my room before collapsing into my bed. "Why would she lie?" He asked. My reply was simple and instant. "She doesn't like me." He shook his head and huffed out a breath before continuing into my room and sitting back into my gaming chair.
"I call dibs having the bed." Sapnap groaned out, stretching out his body to take up as much space as he could. "We're sleeping in the living room, you shit bean." I pushed my bedroom door shut and pressed my back against the cold wood. Sapnap's head snapped towards me with a dropped jaw. "What?" He complained.
I pushed myself off of the door and made my way towards the bed. "We're not all gonna fit in my bed, so downstairs it is." I shrugged, sitting down on top of the raven's legs. "I want the biggest couch." George called out. "No way, dude. I need my beauty sleep and I need my space." Sapnap scoffed, stretching out his neck to peek at the brunette.
"Well, I want the biggest couch so." George grinned at Sapnap. "It's mine." He decided. Sapnap shook his head and turned to me. "Dream, tell George I get the biggest couch. George is literally a twig, I'm a beefy boy." Sapnap pointed at the brunette and I let out a laugh at how stupid the two sounded. "I'm not sleeping on the floor!" George complained. "I'm not sleeping on the tiny chair!" Sapnap also complained.
"I'll sleep on the floor, George can have the biggest couch, and Sapnap can have the other couch." I decided. George smiled proudly while Sapnap kicked me off of his feet. "Fuck you, dude. I hope Patches pisses on you while you sleep." He grumbled, kicking my thighs in an attempt to push me off the bed.
I rolled my eyes and threw my leg over his, stopping all of his movements. He kicked and wiggled in an attempt to move me but eventually stilled, folding his arms over his chest like a pissed off toddler. "I'm pretty happy with that." George shrugged, a proud smile tugging at his lips.
Sapnap grumbled some random words and flipped the brunette off with a 'stupid bitch' following closely after. George's jaw dropped before he broke out into a smile. "You're an idiot." He laughed. Sapnap picked up a pillow and threw it behind him, hoping to hit the other. He failed miserably and the pillow landed just below the open window.
His back arched as he pushed himself up to look at George, a proud smirk on his face until he realised where the pillow had landed and just how far away it was from his target. I laughed quietly and watched as Sapnap embarrassedly asked for George to retrieve the pillow for him. "You're just going to throw it at me again." George refused, crossing his arms. "I won't, I swear."
George squinted his eyes accusingly at the other before getting out of the chair and picking up the pillow. Sapnap watched in excitement and I swear if he had a tail it would be wagging so fast he'd fly away.
George stood with the pillow in his hand. "Promise you won't throw it at me?" He asked. Sapnap placed a hand on his heart. "I swear, dude. If I do, I will give you full permission to steal Dream's cat." George looked at me and I yelped out. "What? No!" Sapnap shushed me with a waving hand while still watching George.
Eventually, he handed Sapnap the pillow and just as he turned around to go back to his chair, Sapnap threw the pillow. It hit the brunette straight on the back and of course, Sapnap cried out in victory, his arms flying up with a prideful smile on his face.
I watched as George picked up the pillow and creeped up behind the boy. He reached up with the pillow in his hands before pushing them down and slapping the raven haired in the face with the feather filled fabric.
"What the fuck!" Sapnap muffled. George broke out laughing, and I joined him. We both laughed as we watched Sapnap pull the pillow off his face and sputter. "You guys are dicks!" He hugged the pillow into his chest. George collapsed into the chair behind him, a hand grabbing onto his loose shirt as he let out a laugh I've never heard before. It was louder than the others, slightly higher too but definitely louder. I couldn't help but laugh with him. His smile and laugh made both Sap and I break out into a laugh. Sapnap still seemed upset but he still laughed, probably wanting to fit in.
This is going to be the best sleepover George has ever been to. If he's ever been to one before, that is. By the end of this night he's going to have broken at least one of his mom's shitty rules, I promise you. I am going to break this boy if it's the last thing I do.
Making George misbehave is going to be my life mission and tonight it's starting. I'm not going to sleep until he's done at least one thing that his mom wouldn't approve of.
I think swearing is the best place to start. It's subtle and simple. He probably wouldn't even realise if he accidentally let one slip out. Plus, it's not like him saying fuck a few times is going to get his ass handed to him on a plate, is it? It's only a word, nothing else.
