Chapter 8: Casita's Rebuilt

On the other hand, Julieta runs back to the destroyed Casita, the site of the tragedy her and her family suffered, and the lifeless Mirabel was still there. She was still crying after what she've witness what Abuela Alma said earlier, and she's very haunted by it.

"Mira, I don't know what to do without you, hija.," Julieta sobbingly said, then she continued crying. Then, she started singing in front of her deceased daughter again.

"Open your eyes, open your eyes, open you eyes....."

Her love for her daughter is still intacked inside her heart.

"We could move the mountains, we could make flowers bloom, but I can't take a single night alone in your room, begging for a miracle."

She would heal someone she knew, but thanks to the miracle dying, she can't. She can make sure she can heal Mirabel before it's too late.

"I would heal what's broken, I would control the morning rains and the hurricane, would finally say the unspoken words, I am begging for a miracle"

She would've live a single day without her precious daugther.

Mirabel, suddenly, came close to her mother. But not because she's awake, but as a soul leaving her life behind and joining Abuelo Pedro in the skies above.

"Mama, I'm so sorry for this to happen.," Mirabel's soul said sobbingly while hugging her mother. "Don't worry, I'll be safe with abuelo in heaven."

Julieta was feeling cold because Mirabel hugged her, but she can't see her youngest daughter because she's a soul. But the deceased Madrigal have one last message.

"Adios, mama. Tell the rest of the familia that I love them.," Mirabel thought, and then walked away with Abuelo Pedro to the skies above. This time, completely. Mirabel will never see her family again.

But that thought turned into a saying, and Julieta heard it. She then shouted Mirabel's name while crying. Just then, she saw something in the candle. It was glowing, like what happened before the collapse.

Julieta stopped crying, and put her tears away just to see what happened.

"What?," Julieta asked. "Wait a minute? Where's Mirabel's glasses?," she added.

She saw Mirabel's emerald glasses disappear and the candle grow at the same time.

The rest of the Madrigals saw the glow of the light from afar, so they approch Julieta, and there were shoocked as Mirabel's glasses disappeared. Then, Abuela saw something

"Is that? Can it be?"

Suddenly, the Casita was magically rebuilt. It was bigger than what has build before, and the colors represent Mirabel's dress. There were also gold-colored butterflys flying around.

The family were in shocked from what happened. Suddenly, as the candle returned to light, Camilo noticed something.

"Guys, look at the candle.," Camilo shockingly said. "I think it's the same candle before it burned out, but the design was different. The design was taken from Mirabel's glasses, I suppose."

"You're right, Camilo. It is replicated from Mirabel's glasses.," Felix stated.

The Casita was the same, but bigger than usual and the colors were different as well. The colors represent Mirabel's dress. As the family went inside, it was still the same feeling as before, but the rooms were bigger than before it was collapsed earlier.

"I never saw this house so big.," Abuela said. "But it will never be the same without Mirabel."

But not only the Casita went back, but also their gifts. But no matter how it was taken, it's still sad for the family to see that Mirabel passed away.

Within a couple of days, the family and burried the body and within weeks, even with thier gifts returning, they started to relive thier happy lives, but this magical family will never be the same without Mirabel.
