Chapter 18: A Floral Visit

The next day, the family eat breakfast together, except again for Julieta, and her oldest daughter, Isabella noticed it, so she asked Camilo.

"Say, I've noticed something with mama recently.," Isa said. "What's wrong with her?," she then asked Camilo.

"Well, ever since the collapse, and your sister died, she's been distant to Abuela recently.," Camilo said. "The reason is that what Abuela said in front of her face really haunted her."

"Wait a moment. Abuela said that she didn't care about Mirabel, and it really haunted mama?," Isa questioned.

"Yup.," Camilo clarified.

"That's going to be hard.," Isa said.

"What do you mean?," Camilo asked.

"Ever since Mirabel died, everything changed in our familia.," Isa said. "Our lives were getting better and better but there's a minimal chance that Abuela and mama would reconsile. I just wish my sister would see this scenario getting worse than before.," the floral Madrigal added.

"I'm sure Mirabel would see that.," Camilo said. "She've been always watching us from above even though she's gone.," he added.

"Are you sure about it?," Isa asked.

"Yeah!," Camilo answered. "Tonio told me that we should remember her not by brain, but also by heart.," he explained.

"Thanks, Cami.," Isa said. "Really needed." 

"You're welcome, señora.," Camilo answered.

Later that night, Isa is now about to sleep when she suddenly thinked about something. Something involving her sister.

"I'm worried that if Mirabel could visit at all. She've visited most of the family after all the commotion."

As she is now sleeping, Mirabel's soul arrived at her room. But unlike the previous time she called her sister prior to her death, where she's angrily voiced at Isa, she's now softly voiced.

Isa was suddenly got the chills from the cold wind she've recieving. As her bed went down, Mirabel's sould soon touch her happy face.

Mirabel softly said her sister's name, and then, Isa suddenly woke up.

"Mirabel? Hermanita? Is that you?," Isa worriedly asked.

"You should be angry at me when I interrupted you, right?," Mirabel said.

As soon as Mirabel knows what happen last time at her room, Isa softly hugs her.

"I miss you so much, hermanita.," Isa said as she broke away from the hug. "I don't know why I should be angry at you.," she added.

"Why is that?"

"Well, after what happened before we've talked and Abuela interrupted, I just felt that I'm very sorry for you.," Isa said. "After the collapse, and I learned about your death, I really got a little depressed but as the weeks went by after that, I came back stronger.," she added.

"I miss you so much, I just can't miss a single visit for you.," she then sadly added.

"You just can't be happy all the time, Isa.," Mirabel advised. "Sometimes, you need to forget the worriness and the sorrows that you've suffered.," she added.

"I hope you said that to mama.," Isa said.

"Why? Are worried about her too much?," Mirabel said.

"Well, Camilo told me that the reason why mama was so distant to Abuela was her words during the collapsed haunted her.," Isa answered. "I even heard it from afar."

"Then why you didn't say that to mama at all?," Mirabel asked.

"Maybe if I could tell mama, things between then could get even worse between her and her mother.," Isa worriedly said.

"Isa, remember what I said eariler.," Mirabel said. "Besides, I need to find a way to advice mama. She was really hurt the most when I tragically departed.," she added.

Isa then hugged Mirabel, and she enjoyed her talk with her departed sister.

"I love you so much, hermanita. I'll never forget you.," Isa said as she breaks away from the hug and wipe the tear out her left eye.

"I love you too, Isa. Guess we need to miss each other after I departed.," Mirabel softly said.

"Guess so. Goodbye then.," Isa said.

"Goodbye.," Mirabel answered as she is now departed from her sister's room.

The floral Madrigal is now happy that she had her chance to talk to her sister. At least from her perspective, she know how much happy Mirabel is.

"I will try to be happy for you to be happy, Mirabel. I'll never be sad again.," Isa thought.
