005 | To Be Kept In Line

"Since this is the first day in which you all will have to participate in lessons, this lesson will go over all the important notes that you need to know, including the school rules." Don't break them; evil can break the rules once they've graduated, and these rules are designed to help you all reach your full potential; breaking them could make you less of a villain than you could be. If you do break the rules, proper punishment will, of course, be given; the Doom Rooms are there to torture you in such ways that you won't ever break any rule again, and it will possibly give you ideas on how to torture your nemesis once you've graduated. See it as a learning experience if it happens to you."

Hester, Dot, and Anadil didn't lie; you'd actually get tortured if you didn't follow a few rules. This, for Y/N, felt like a fucked-up fever dream at best. Who in the world would say that torture is the best way to make students listen? The only reason this was allowed was the fact that they were villains; it was embarrassing how stereotypical everyone acted, and everything was.

''The rules are divided into two different sections; The Separation Rules and School Rules. The Separation Rules are;

1. The Evil Attack. The Good Defend.

2. The Evil punish. The Good forgive.

3. The Evil hurt. The Good help.

4. The Evil take. The Good give.

5. The Evil hate. The Good love.

If any of these rules are broken, Evil would simply not be Evil anymore and turn Good. which, as you all understand, would be a disaster.''

Y/N of Gavaldon was devastated; by some simple rules, she was ruined. She'd get tortured if she ever loved. That couldn't be true; it simply couldn't. These rules were just a way to continue the stereotypical evil they tried to raise. It was a simple rule to keep everything black and white even though everyone knew well enough the world was actually grey.

She wanted to win Lady Lesso's favour by acting like the ideal student, but she couldn't become what she desired if she couldn't love. She knew well enough that love was an emotion, and emotions are something you can't control, even if you try to shut them out.

Y/N had learned that the best evil was ugly, which was also why she and all her classmates had "Uglification" as one of their subjects. They wouldn't make someone the Dean of Evil if they weren't one of the evilest people alive, and according to their belief, Lady Lesso had to be the ugliest person in the world, yet the opposite was true. If a beauty like her could break such a rule and still become successful, Y/N could be successful yet still find her true love. She simply had to be secretive about it to prevent getting into trouble. 

''As for the School Rules;

1. Students must remain in their assigned schools at all times.

2. Students must not kill their fellow students.

3. Students are forbidden to go into the Endless Woods after dark.

4. Students are forbidden from interfering with the Storian.

5. Be aware that gargoyles are not decorations, they have orders to kill.

6. Readers and Descendants are equally valuable to the school community.

7. Students are unable to cast spells on school grounds until their finger glows have been unlocked.
