It took the girl approximately five minutes to figure out she had forgotten the book. The only reason that she realised that fact was because, when she wanted to lay the book under her bed, she missed that exact object.

She thought about running back and taking the book at last, but she knew Lady Lesso had been curious about that book because she had been so secretive about it. Going back could get her into a lot of trouble if the dean had simply looked at the title alone. The only thing she was able to do to avoid detention or something even worse was to go to her lessons the next day and act like nothing was going on and she had nothing to hide. The girl believed that if she acted like it was a big deal, it would turn out to be one as well. Lady Lesso has been the dean of the School for Evil for a while now and has been a teacher for years prior to that, she must've seen worse things.

Y/N's worry had been correct, much to her dismay. Once the girl had left the office, Lady Lesso waited for some time, curious to see if the girl would come back. Once it turned out that the student wouldn't come out of her quarters anymore, the dean couldn't help but take a look.

Saying the redhead was surprised was an understatement. Having a student read such a book wasn't that much of a surprise; she'd seen tonnes of teenagers acting out on their hormones before. The thing that surprised her was the commentary the girl had written next to words or sentences varying from question marks to questions about if something was normal or not.

The Dean of Evil knew from past experiences that Gavaldon was the last village one must go to if they wanted to be educated on matters related to sexuality, but she also knew that if someone there was curious and had the resources, they'd be able to get their fair share of knowledge. Y/N of Gavaldon, however, was clearly curious yet obviously didn't have the resources.

The woman concluded that the girl had to have been one of the poorer people in the village, the ones the rest wanted to cast out. Her hygiene was terrible when she came in here; she told herself she wasn't used to human connections at all, it was clear the girl was used to eating less than two meals a day, and she clearly didn't know anything about sex education. The student's notes made the dean wonder if she even knew what birth control was.

Lady Lesso wasn't surprised that Y/N liked the school, despite the fact that she was bullied more, than Gavaldon. It must've been even worse for her than it was for the dean herself; life for the outcasts in that village was terrible. The redhead herself was lucky to be able to hide the little flaw that could've gotten her into the same situation; the girl must've had more things to her that made it impossible for her to hide her personality.

Time passed, and everyone in both castles slept soundly with no worries that stressed their bodies. Except for the girl, who couldn't keep her negative thoughts under control. She thought about the worst possible endings and punishments she would be able to get, going from being expelled to being tortured until barely breathing.

Constant scenes played around in her head about how on earth she'd need to face the intimidating dean the morning after in her classes. She imagined so much that the moment she fell asleep, the morning had already begun. Dot woke her up five minutes before class was supposed to start to make sure she wouldn't miss the day completely.

Even though the girl had gotten ready as quickly as she could, the moment she ran into class everyone had already started, making the classmates and Lady Lesso look at her in silence. "I'm sorry, my alarm had a malfunction." She quickly muttered toward her teacher, whose sight she tried to avoid.

Y/N looked up towards all the desks, hoping that the one in the back no one ever used was empty; of course, someone sat at it. In fact, the only empty desk was the one in the front, the closest someone could get to the teaching dean. She sighed deeply in worry and fear while sitting down.

The silence stopped some seconds after Lady Lesso started talking again. The girl from Gavaldon didn't pay attention to the lesson; the only thing she paid attention to was where her teacher would be standing while walking around the room.

Of course, her absence of mind was noticeable to the teacher; normally, she'd be eager to listen to the clever information the woman would share in the classroom. She didn't fully understand what was going on, so she decided the best option would be to test out the unknown waters the girl had forced her into.

Whenever Lady Lesso would come closer to the girl, Y/N's senses would be heightened, and she'd act quicker whenever movement was seen or heard. Her breath also hitched, and her legs would start moving again. The girl from Gavaldon was nervous around the intimidating woman; the woman herself suspected it was because of that small mistake made last night, making the situation seem worse than it actually was.

The girl was so distracted and nervous that she hardly noticed the bell ringing, indicating that the lesson was finished. "Everyone get to your next class; Y/N stay here." The student from Gavaldon's eyes widened in fear as she watched the Dean of Evil close the door of the classroom behind the last student that left, turning around and looking at her with a raised eyebrow.

"Late and not paying attention? Something must be bothering you a lot,'' the woman concluded boringly as she looked the student up and down. ''My alarm broke and Dot had to wake me up. I suppose I'm just still startled from the sudden stress that was put on my shoulders. I apologise and will make sure it won't happen again, Lady Lesso '' Y/N lied quickly; the way she said it sounded so truthful that she herself was beginning to doubt if she was even lying.

"Well, if that's the case, set two alarms just in case, and do something to get rid of your constant thoughts; they don't look good on you, they give you wrinkles." Lady Lesso sighed, joining in with her lie and knocking her cane on the door, telling the student to leave the room and continue with her day.

Y/N didn't need to be asked twice; the dean's eyes made her terribly nervous, and being locked in a room with her alone didn't help either; it reminded her of the book she had lost. The teacher in the story itself reminded her greatly of the counsellor; the girl simply couldn't keep her thoughts on lock, and they quickly wandered off towards the scenes she had secretly read, yet instead of imagining the brown-haired professor, the peculiar redheaded woman was put in place.

Lady Lesso relished these moments; she never regretted discovering the secret section inside the library at such a young age herself; after all, she had learned how to use her finger glow in such a way that one could read minds.
