My name is Mirabella, I am a peasant girl who lives in Edoras in the Kingdom of Rohan. My father is a soldier in King Darius's Royal Army. And my mother is a personal maid to the Queen. And this is my story; a story about fate, war and love.

I once used to think that I had the best life anyone like me could ask for, and then I grew up. When I turned 10 I had realized how horrible and evil the world really was. My father went missing the day I turned 10, I didn't know what was going on or what was going to happen. Guards were out searching but there was no luck. Rumors had spread all around the kingdom, rumors about why he left or where he went. I didn't care about the rumors, I just wanted my father back safe and sound. He was our main source of income. Maids don't make much and being a soldier isn't much better but without that money my mother didn't know how long we'd survive.

I am now 20, barely getting by. The past 15 years has taken it's toll on my mother. She's gone completely insane. She forgot about everything, like chores, her duty as the Queens maid, she even forgot about me. She stopped working, cooking, caring and loving. I had to learn to fend for myself. It was hard I will admit but I got through it and now I am a Lieutenant in the kings Royal Army, an honour my poor father never had. I learn't how to fight by myself for awhile until one day when I met an elf in the forest.

He taught me how to fight for nearly a full season but then one day he left. With no warning, no goodbye. I would search high and low for about a week until I gave up. He abandoned me just like my parents did. But it didn't matter I took what I had learn't and put it to the test! I signed up to join the army and I got in. The King was so impressed he made me a Lieutenant with my own battalian, a whole 300 men. I was the youngest Lieutenant in the army and the only female, but I was happy to be doing something useful. Serving my king in the best way I could. Better than both my parents had in the past. By the time this all happened my mother had past away. Her mind practically imploded on itself.
