We didn't get to the palace until the early evening the next day. As we walked closer to the entrance I was amazed and shocked by the size of the doors. When we got close enough I could see the guards standing on towers just above the doorway and two more standing right in front of the door. The doors opened and when I saw the inside of the palace I was speechless.
Legolas looked at me and chuckled under his breath. There was a maid waiting just inside the door. Legolas told me that she was for me and she were to help me get cleaned up before I meet the king.

"This is Chrysilla you're personal maid." He said "You are to follow her every instruction because you are new and don not know how things work around here. Do you understand?" He asked.

"Yes, I understand." I replied, staring up at the ceiling in amazement not really paying any attention.

"Very well then, I will see you in 2 hours" Legolas said as he started walking away quickly.

"Hello my lady please follow me. As you heard I am Chrysilla and if there is anything you need you can always ask me."

To me she seemed to cheerful to be a maid but it's always good to know someone cheery in a new and strange place. Chrysilla showed me to my room and then started pouring me a hot bath. When I walked into the bathroom she told me to get in.

"Umm are you going to watch me bathe?" I tried not to sound nervous but I couldn't help it.

"If you would rather be alone then I will leave."

"Thanks."

After I bathed I walked through the door and back into my room with my towel wrapped tight around me. There was a beautiful sleeveless dark ocean blue dress laying on the bed. Chrysilla was nowhere to be found and I needed help tying the strings at the back of my dress. I opened the door and peeked out into the hallway. I heard footsteps coming towards me, I was hoping it was Chrysilla so I walked out the door waiting for her holding the dress up by the front.
The next thing I know Legolas came walking briskly around the corner and stopped dead in his tracks when he saw me. He then instantly looked down at his feet.

"My lady what are you doing?  Your time is up. Where is Chrysilla? it is time to go."

"I don't know where she is! She left me to bathe. Then I put on the dress that was laid on the bed. And don't call me that"
"Now hurry up and follow me." Legolas seemed to demand. He then turned around and starting walking away.

"Wait!" I nearly yelled

"What? What is it? Are you alright?" He quickly spun around and looked at me with soft but serious eyes.

"I need help tying the dress up, can you help me please?" I ask in a soft and gentle tone.

"I.. uh .. suppose I can do that." He walks over to me mumbling something about Chrysilla not being here.

Legolas tied up my dress, his hands were warm. They only touched me for a few moments but I could feel how soft they were, how gentle yet strong they were. He stopped tying and I turned around. Our eyes met  and time seemed to stop. I got lost in his beautiful icy blue eyes. We then both snapped out of our haze.

"Well I'm ready. Shall we go?" I was about to start walking when Legolas stared at me with an odd look.

"What?" I asked. " Is something wrong?"

"You're going to go see my father, the King with your hair like that?" My hair was still wet from the bath and was flowing down over my shoulders.

"Wait one moment, I'll fix it"

I ran back into the room grabbed the hair brush and elastic from the dresser, brushed my hair quickly then through it up into a messy bun. When I walked back out Legolas looked at me with an even stranger look.

"What is that?" He asked in an awkward tone.

"It is called a bun, have you never seen one before?" I asked in an equally awkward voice.

"No, of course not. Us elves try to look proper when we go to meet our King. Now follow me." He turned quickly and started speed walking down the hallway. I then started following him when I realized what he had just said.

"Wait, what is that supposed to mean?" I asked in a feirce but playful voice. "I'm proper!"

"What is what supposed to mean?" He seemed to chuckle as he responded. "Come, hurry we are late. My father has a temper that I do not like to test." He seemed to be able to switch from one emotion to the next very easily. Maybe it's an elf thing, how am I supposed to know I've only met two.
