"Quick!" Gumpa shouted, waving at the four approaching bikes, holding onto the thick steel gate. As soon as the vehicles drove through the entrance, he slammed it close and secured it with a chain. The inhuman screech echoed not far from their hiding spot before it went silent again.
"That was close." Gram sighed in relief.
"You were out for too long. I told you to watch the time." Gumpa scolded the group.
"Injuries?" He asked as he eyed the guys from head to toe.
"We are okay," Sean assured him.
"We got everything." Yok pointed at their backpacks.
"Good. Black?" Gumpa turned to the shortest of the guys, waiting for him to speak.
"All good." The black-haired man answered. Gumpa nodded, leading the gang to the couches. They all sit down, open the bags and reveal their content. It's been three months since "Hell Hole" appeared. The country went into utter chaos because of government's incompetence that slowly brought blight on the whole nation. After a month of observation, a few rules were made to calm the people down. Anyone with a brain knew they weren't of much help. Going out past eight in the evening was prohibited because the creatures were more active in the dark. People were advised to be careful during cloudy days. Of course, going near the "Hell Hole" was forbidden.
The army and police were always out on the streets, trying to help during the attacks, but their guns didn't have a chance against the thick skin, and that's why the gang was trying to find a way to fight the blood-lusting beasts.
