Black never felt so proud. His baby brother was the most intelligent human being. He kissed his forehead, not caring what the others would think.
"Let's gather different types of lights and try them one by one." Gumpa proposed.
"Try?" White asked. Black sighed, looking at his brother.
"We are not scientists, White. We have no other way to try it on the creatures outside."He didn't like the look White was pulling. He knew his twin was against this idea, but they did not have another way.
"I am going with you." White declared, making his heart stop.
"You are not going anywhere." Black denied.
"Why?"
"It's dangerous."
"But you all are going. I want to help." White straightened his back, his eyes started to glisten with tears, and he knew what it meant.
"You helped enough." Black didn't let White's sad face soften him. There was no way he would let White get into the danger. He would rather cut off his head than let anything happen to him.
"That's not fair." White sniffled. His lip quivered, and Black had to look elsewhere. The rest of the gang was quiet, not wanting to get between their quarrels. Black didn't respond to it. It was better than arguing with his brother. The cushion moved, and White ran away. It pained him, but he managed to stay seated.
"You should go after him." Gram dared to say. Black clenched his fists.
"He needs to calm down first."
"I am going to check on him." Sean stood up, and before Black could do anything, he was already gone.
"Give them a few minutes before you rip Sean's head off." Yok joked, receiving a glare from him.
"Enough. I am going to make some calls. You two make sure Sean is in one piece before I am back." Gumpa warned and left the main hall.
"It's your fault anyway." Yok shrugged.
"Yok is not wrong here, Black. You could have told it to White softer." Gram joined the scolding.
"I know." He murmured, letting his eyes linger on the part of the garage where Sean comforted White instead of him.
