They dragged another set of lights outside, aiming them at the blood-hungry creature. It was tiring, and non of the damned thing worked properly. Black stopped counting how many times he and Gram ran in and out of the building, and every time he could feel his brother's fear. His anxiousness grew, and he wanted nothing more than get this over with and wrap White in his arms. The creatures were enraged. The constant provocation from the light made them even more daring and hungry. They were running out of options, and there was a tiny bit of unsureness in him. Not that Black doubted his twins. White was the most intelligent person he knew, but maybe this time, he was wrong.

Black sprinted inside the building, breathing heavily. He was tired, and so was Gram. He felt White's hand sliding up and down his back.

"I am okay." He assured his brother, glancing at him briefly before nodding at Gumpa.

"The last one?" Black asked.

"The last." The older man confirmed.

"Let's pray for it to work." Gram gulped. Black rolled his eyes, but he was feeling the same. The screech from the outside was getting louder, and Black could sense White stiffening. He patted his fluffy hair.

"Let's do it." Black urged the gang.

"Can't you wait for a bit? I think they are too close." White muttered, tugging at Black's vest.

"They are not, and the sooner we are done, the sooner we can make another plan." Black tried to smile.

"Gram." He called his friend.

"Ready." Gram nodded, picking up the light and waiting for him.

"P' please," White practically sobbed. It was hard for Black to remove White's hands from the clothes and push him towards his frenemy.

"You asshole, keep him here. Understand?" He glared at Sean, whose long limbs were draped around his baby brother. White was squirming, but Sean didn't let him out of his hold.

"I'll be back soon," Black assured his twin, kissing his forehead. He noticed White hiding his face in Sean's chest before he stepped out with Gram by his side. The last light, the last hope.
